Sorry, I don't believe for a second those PAM teams you played were better than Guyer. More D1 athletes, maybe.....better team.....no way. We played Guyer in the 2010 state title game and they were one hell of a good football team across the board with top notch talent as well. I believe that team sent 5 or 6 Seniors on to D1 on full rides. And, in 2011 we played PAM in the semis and destroyed them. it was 51-17 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd when we completely called the dogs off on them. No doubt those PAM teams you played were loaded with talent but that does not make them a good team. If talen alone made great teams Skyline, DeSoto, NS, and several others would have a ton of trophies in their cases and they do not. Those Port Arthur Memorial teams would have ripped Guyer a new one. Obviously I saw those teams first hand, and I saw Guyer on tv in the title game. Sorry but Guyer doesn't have squat on those Port Arthur Memorial teams. You have your opinion, I have mine. Your rant on Skyline, DeSoto and others is irrelevant to this. I could care less about those programs. They have nothing to do with this point I made on PORT ARTHUR MEMORIAL. LMAO OK, first of all if PAM was so badass, where were they in the playoffs in 2010? I'll tell you where they were....at home after the 3rd round because they got it handed to them by Houston Memorial in the 3rd round 34-10. Yeah, the same Houston Memorial we spanked 44-20 two weeks later in the semis and it could have been a hell of a lot worse than that if we'd not called the dogs off after 3 quarters! I don't remember calling the dogs off on Denton Guyer the next week in the finals! Sorry Cochino but you are wrong about PAM being a great team in 2010 and what I stated in the above paragraph proves that. Hou Mem 34 PAM 10 Steele 44 Hou Mem 20 Steele 24 Guyer 21 Yeah, Guyer is nowhere near as good as PAM Try again bro! Wanna talk about PAM in 2011? Really? I was there and can tell you that we absolutely toyed with that team in Reliant Stadium that afternoon. That so fast, so athletic team looked very slow when our RB and QB took back to back runs a total of 170+ yds to the house. Your post talked about how great a team you guys faced and how they were better than Guyer. I simply pointed out that because a team is loaded with D1 athletes doesn't make them a great team and used the other teams to back my statement because each and every year those teams send tons of players to FBS schools yet their trophy cases do not need added bracing below them to hold up hardware. So yes, I think they are very relevant to the conversation in this respect. Last, Guyer would have wiped the floor with PAM in either 2010 and most likely again in 2011! NOT EVEN CLOSE!

All I will say is I saw Denton Guyer at Jerry world in the title game. We sat about two rows up from there bench and they look like grown men. Georgetown was a very good team as well. I think both of those teams could have given CP a hell of a game. Absolutely no doubt about that at all Antlers! But, could that Guyer team have stayed within 40 of PAM? ? ROFLMAO

Hey Tom, I'm curious to know how they already know they have Allen to start the season next year?? Most of the time schedules are not known until realignments are announced. Strangely it's already been announced. Don't know why they announced it that early though, I wouldn't put it past the UIL to throw Guyer and Allen in the same district. Tom, very possibly th etwo coaches may have already decided that this will be their week 0 ballgame the next two years. I don't think there's any UIL rule against such things. Or, maybe they've both been informed or invited to some sort of a 'kickoff classic' type game or something of that nature. either way, should be a hell of a ball game.

Thought the new SC coach was the HC at Ponder. Or am I thinking of someone else? I know I read we had hired the HC from Ponder on staff.

Well it's unlikely but Allen was in a district with Flower Mound in 2010-11 so it's plausible. And yeah, there's no rule against playing a district game in Week 0, nor is there a rule against playing a non-district game against a district mate. Just not sure why they would do it.

The Ponder HC will be the asst. S&C coach as well as coaching the receivers. Coach Keese (internal) will take over the whole athletic departments S&C program.

Pflugerville Conally should be in that top 25 talentwise, but coaching makes then questionable.

I agree how can you really rank teams that far down. Its a big ole guess. They're done by a computer, based mostly on victory margin, blah blah blah. They actually rank all the teams, but their preseason rankings are mostly guessing.

I'm with you Tom, nobody really know's what going to happen over the season. So many factors will play a role in whats going to happen later. I will tell you right now Tivy is going to struggle early on and we will be a better team later in the season. We are missing alot of players right now and we will be playing young kids early. And thats not good with our next three being Del Rio,Madison and Steele. Oh well that's the way it goes.
