Yeah, yeah. Heard stuff like that before. I'm starting to think this guy sincerely believes himself. Alice @#1??? Lets break 50 first!! Um, you know you are quoting FB fan right? Now back to your regularly scheduled cohino vs purp war.

Just looking at that list. Not one team went unbeaten not even the state champs. The only one that came close was Georgetown

lol obviously the poll is an extreme exaggeration. But despite Guyer having way more talent than Alice, I have my feelings you guys would have extreme problems solving Alice's Slot-t formation. We played better teams than Guyer back in 2010 and 2011 in Port Arthur Memorial. And despite the big losses in those games we did move the ball against them fairly easily despite them having a ton of D1 committs. You teams from further north never see offenses like the Slot-t and have problems with it as a result. You weren't paying attention last year were you? Guyer had problems stopping pretty much everybody, the offense just outscored them. I think he prolly paid attention... just can't post facts.

Sorry, Guyer would squash Alice. Probably Flour Bluff as well. Next question. lol obviously the poll is an extreme exaggeration. You teams from further north never see offenses like the Slot-t and have problems with it as a result. Sorry, I don't believe for a second those PAM teams you played were better than Guyer. More D1 athletes, maybe.....better team.....no way. We played Guyer in the 2010 state title game and they were one hell of a good football team across the board with top notch talent as well. I believe that team sent 5 or 6 Seniors on to D1 on full rides. And, in 2011 we played PAM in the semis and destroyed them. it was 51-17 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd when we completely called the dogs off on them. No doubt those PAM teams you played were loaded with talent but that does not make them a good team. If talen alone made great teams Skyline, DeSoto, NS, and several others would have a ton of trophies in their cases and they do not.

Tom, yes Guyer struggled early in the season defensively against 5A powerhouses Cedar Hill and Colleyville Heritage. They struggled because they were very, very young. They picked things up and destroyed their conference. They did struggle in the playoffs and had their offense carry them through the State Championship. I think their defense is going to be much improved this year with the young guys having gotten much more experience, bigger, faster, stronger, etc.. This is going to be a very well rounded and deep team. As to starting the too hyped, yeah, maybe it had a little to do with their ego. But as I alluded to earlier, Starting off facing 2 5A powerhouses (and hanging tough with them), had more to do with a slow start than anything else. Well see how they start this year with the same non-conference schedule; Cedar Hill, Colleyvill Heritage, and FM Marcus. It doesn't get easier next year when we open at Allen

Most of the time schedules are not known until realignments are announced.

Those Port Arthur Memorial teams would have ripped Guyer a new one. Obviously I saw those teams first hand, and I saw Guyer on tv in the title game. Sorry but Guyer doesn't have squat on those Port Arthur Memorial teams. You have your opinion, I have mine. Your rant on Skyline, DeSoto and others is irrelevant to this. I could care less about those programs. They have nothing to do with this point I made on PORT ARTHUR MEMORIAL.

All I will say is I saw Denton Guyer at Jerry world in the title game. We sat about two rows up from there bench and they look like grown men. Georgetown was a very good team as well. I think both of those teams could have given CP a hell of a game.

Don't know why they announced it that early though, I wouldn't put it past the UIL to throw Guyer and Allen in the same district.

Not sure what qualifies as squash but I have my doubts. Cochino had Alice and FB ranked ahead of Guyer. But you don't know that I meant Guyer would squash FB. The way that was worded, I could have meant that FB would squash Alice.
