I got the idea from the valley forum, and thought it might be fun here.
Name the 13 Coastal bend teams (perhaps 12 depending on what you consider the coastal bend) that have made it to the Texas High School Football State Championship?

Ben-Bolt, George West, Mathis, Sinton, Refugio, C.C. Ray, C.C. Miller, Ingleside, G-P, Calallen, Kingsville, and back in 1934 and 1938 a school named Corpus Christi made it. I'm assuming that's pre-Miller. Not sure if it was called Corpus Christi High or what.

Okay, I've got one. This will at least require a little more digging.
Four running backs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame played high school ball in Texas. Three of them won a state championship in high school.
Can you name the three running backs, where they played high school ball, and the year they won a state championship?
(Bonus points: name the fourth Hall of Famer and where he played high school ball.)

The fourth: Doak Walker of Highland Park (class of 1944.) Doak was also the only one who didn't win a state title; it probably didn't help that back in 1943 there was only one state champion. Also, the quarterback on that team -- Bobby Layne -- is ALSO in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Thurman Thomas did win a state title at Willowridge in 1982. The others you got right, Campbell won a state title in 1973, Dickerson in 1978.

No, Billy Sims isn't in the Hall of Fame. wow I thought he was a sure hall of famer, he was pre barry sanders. He ran like a hall of fame running back now that I'm looking at his stats an injury ended his career early.
