I prefer it when Cal is nowhere near the top 25, although if we can get our offense going this year we could make a deep run in the playoffs. We'll see... Amen and more to my point. The year they ranked FB the highest preseason was their worst year in a long time.

Here's hoping the baseball pollsters will do the same next spring. We have the tools in place to make some very deep runs for the next two or three seasons in both football and baseball.

Once again Tivy is being under rated by many!!!! Our defense rated 3rd in our district??? Tivy defense is returning all seniors and has a very strong and talented linebackers. The offense has some special key players also consist of mostly seniors. So TFND!!!!!!!

I think the Buffs will be back in business next season!

It should be a very strong year for Tivy. This will be a senior heavy team with alot of good players returning. Not to mention we had a QB move in and he looks really good. I think we will be better than last year but as always the case we have to stay healthy. And playing four 5a teams in a row will take its toll especially when its Madison and Steele back to back.

Del Rio will have to reload this year after they lost some to graduation. The coach also left but the OC takes over. I expect the same outcome from last year's games. They could go 0-4 with other losses to Brack and Carlsbad,NM. But they will be back up there, they always have a ton of athletes. They also scrimmage Martin and I believe San Angelo Central. They are chosen to win the District by DCTF.

When the Yankee lady announced that she had had all her children in and after moving to Texas, the Texas lady told her, "just because your cat has kittens in an old oven doesn't make them biscuits." I was born and grew up and went to school in DFW and have now lived in the Coastal Bend for 20 years. Anything else you want to tell me? Again, not necessarily to do with the CB but DCTF mag is notoriously wrong on a regular basis. Eh. DCTF is what it is. It's a semi-decent macro level view of the state of Texas high school football. I can get much more accurate info on 5-4A from the Denton Record-Chronicle, the Wichita Falls Times-Record-News, the Azle News, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, message boards, Twitter, what have you. That's all well and good when you're talking about your team's district and you already know where to find the info, but that's a lot of work to put in for districts and teams you don't particularly care about. The latter is what DCTF is for.

They just don't put in the leg work and the farther south the bigger the SWAG they take at it. Better information is available. Again, if they are presenting themselves as a professional authority, they should do the work and earn the money.

It is an $11.00 magazine and should be as accurate as possible. The SWAG's for El Paso and South of San Antonio areas are quite evident. There is definitely more work put into the DFW area and to the powerhouse teams. It is still a good source of info, plus the Texas College Football info. The "cute" poster pullout reminds back in my childhood days of the football player posters I would put up on my wall (along with the beautiful ladies of that time!).

Well, I'm still confused as to what the inaccuracies we're complaining about are. Again... last year DCTF totally whiffed on Calallen (who turned out to be worse than expected) and Flour Bluff (better than expected), but it doesn't really seem like they were alone in this. Or am I wrong? What's more, it doesn't really seem like they're more accurate in DFW than down south. Last year they had Highland Park at #4, Dallas Kimball at #15, and Waxahachie at #24. HP was good but definitely not top 5, Kimball got waxed by Frisco Centennial (who was unranked, btw) in the second round, and Waxahachie finished fourth in their district. And, I don't really buy into the theories about magazine sales. If they for some reason didn't rank Denton Guyer in the top 25, that's not going to affect my decision whether to purchase the magazine or not.
