There are reports on the Downlow that Beeville has hired Jimmy Mitchell from Sealy as their new HC/AD. Anybody hear anything about this yet??

Wonder why he would leave sealy for beeville? He'd be a good pickup for Beeville, but I'm not sure he's aware of the shambles the programs are in. The only successful programs were in girls sports, but the assistant AD for girls left too. It will be interesting.

Wonder why he would leave sealy for beeville? I heard they thought he should have won the big one by now and he wanted back down south.

This would be a great hire for Beeville. Indeed it would as he did well in Sinton. But he has a task in front of him as Blasto notes. They didn't even field a Freshman or JV baseball for the full season. Same with basketball. Beeville ISD should be getting some nice tax receipts thank to the Eagle Ford activity and they need to spend it. I heard the baseball field was awful.

There's no doubt that coach Mitchell won't turn this program around...I see Beeville being a real player in this district here in the next few years. Maybe a strong 3rd place team behind Calallen and Port Lavaca.....who knows what will happen, the future is bright if this all pans out. Good luck Beeville on y'all's coaching search.

If you spend any time reading some of the replies from some of posters from Sealy it wont take you long to understand them. All coaches have to win to retain their position and Jimmy Mitchell did win and win alot but that just isnt good enough according to them so its no secret why Jimmy has been trying to get out of Sealy. Jimmy had also applied at GP when we had a opening for the HC/AD. Jimmy Mitchell is a damned good coach and if Beeville has already selected Jimmy, he will improve the level of play at the program.Beeville may not have any Ricky Seals-Jones but they dont need stars, they just need a solid coach who knows how to build a program up, jimmy mitchell has proven he knows how to do just that.
