I remember High School Track. The Shot Put and Discus squad would look at the coach when he said to run a warm-up lap around the track. I think they did a lap in about a 3 minute jog/ walk. Bleachers/ Stairs...OMG! Those were the killers! Hurts to think about it. Does anyone run bleachers anymore? GP still does

Ran some with my sis this summer. Thought I was doing good. I could not walk for 2 days. Hell, in HS we ran them with a teammate on our backs. Sweet youth. Up to 13 miles now and 38 pounds lighter GD overachievers! Henry Ford, he hated running and did something about it. You damn skippy my bruthafrumanuthamutha!

It's not that hard to run 13 miles. I'm not saying to go out and try it tomorrow. You have to slowly build up your endurance and mileage. I never thought I'd be running 10, 15+ miles, but I've built up to that level.
Last October for the fun of it, I ran twice around White Rock Lake in Dallas. That is 18 miles.

Wish that were true for me, but 13 miles is an eternity for this 46 year old fat man. I will admit the miles come easier now that I have dropped some weight. The strange part is that the first 3 miles just seem to take forever, but after that I really get into a groove and actually feel really good.
