DFW area playoff scenarios:
District 5-4A
• Denton Guyer (7-2, 6-0) has clinched the top seed in the 4A Division I playoffs, and will face Saginaw in the bi-district round.
• Wichita Falls Rider (7-2, 5-1) has clinched the top seed in the 4A Division II playoffs.
• Azle (7-2, 4-2) is in with a win over Lake Dallas or a Trophy Club Byron Nelson loss.
• Trophy Club Byron Nelson (6-3, 3-3) gets in with a win over Denton AND an Azle win.
• Lake Dallas (5-4, 3-3) gets in with a win AND a Byron Nelson loss.
• If Byron Nelson and Lake Dallas win, there will be a three-way tie between those schools and Azle. In this district, once it goes to points, it stays at points. If Lake Dallas beats Azle by 12 or more points, Lake Dallas and Byron Nelson are in. If Lake Dallas beats Azle by 5 points or less, Azle and Byron Nelson are in. If Lake Dallas beats Azle by 6 to 11 points, Azle and Lake Dallas advance.
• Fort Worth Brewer, Denton and Wichita Falls have been eliminated.
D-I - W: Denton Guyer, R: Azle or Byron Nelson; D-II - W: Rider, R: Azle or Lake Dallas
District 6-4A
• Birdville (9-0, 7-0) has clinched the top spot in the 4A Division I playoffs.
• Saginaw (7-2, 5-2) is the Division I runners-up, and will face Denton Guyer in the bi-district round.
• Fort Worth Boswell (7-2, 6-1) is the Division II top seed.
• Fort Worth Dunbar (5-4, 5-2) is the Division II runners-up and will face Wichita Falls Rider in the bi-district round.
• Fort Worth Eastern Hills, Fort Worth Carter-Riverside, Fort Worth Poly, Saginaw Chisholm Trail and Fort Worth North Side have all been eliminated.
D-I - W: Birdville, R: Saginaw; D-II - W: Fort Worth Boswell, R: Fort Worth Dunbar
District 9-4A
• Frisco Centennial (9-1, 6-1) has clinched the top spot in the 4A Division I playoffs, and at least a share of the district title.
• Prosper (8-1, 5-1) has clinched a playoff berth in the 4A Division II playoffs.
• Frisco (6-3, 5-1) has clinched a playoff berth.
• Little Elm (4-5, 3-3) can clinch a playoff berth with a win over The Colony.
• Frisco Wakeland can clinch a playoff berth with a win AND a Little Elm loss.
• The Colony (4-5, 2-4) can advance, but only by getting in a three-way tie with Little Elm and Wakeland. For the three-way tie to occur, The Colony needs to win, and Wakeland lose to Frisco Liberty. It would then go to points, but revert back to head-to-head when a team is eliminated. In any point scenario, The Colony would advance – and get the 4A Division I runners-up spot.
• Frisco Heritage and Frisco Liberty are eliminated from playoff contention.
D-I - W: Frisco Centennial, R: Frisco or The Colony; D-II - W: Frisco or Prosper, R: Frisco, Little Elm or Frisco Wakeland
District 10-4A
• Highland Park (8-1, 6-0) has clinched the top spot in the 4A Division I playoff spot.
• Mesquite Poteet (8-1, 5-1) has clinched a 4A Division II playoff berth.
• West Mesquite (7-2, 5-1) has clinched too.
• Forney (5-5, 4-3) has clinched a playoff berth.
• Creekview, Newman Smith, North Forney and Terrell have been eliminated from playoff contention.
D-I - W: Highland Park, R: West Mesquite; D-II - W: Mesquite Poteet, R: Forney
District 11-4A
• South Oak Cliff (9-0, 7-0) has clinched a playoff spot, and can clinch the top seed in Division I or II with a win over Kimball.
• Carter (7-2, 5-1) has clinched a 4A Division II playoff spot.
• Kimball (7-2, 5-1) has clinched a Division I playoff spot.
• Seagoville (4-5, 3-3) can clinch a Division II runner-up berth with a win over Carter, which would give Carter the top seed in Division II, and make the SOC/Kimball game relevant in terms of playoff seeding in Division I.
• Adamson (5-4, 2-4) needs a win AND Seagoville loss to Carter AND a North Dallas loss to Molina to get a Division I berth, pushing SOC to Division II.
• North Dallas (4-5, 2-4) needs a three-way tie between themselves, Adamson and Seagoville to get a berth – which would be the school’s first since 1952. In order for that to happen, North Dallas needs a win over Molina AND a Seagoville loss to Carter AND an Adamson win over Pinkston. North Dallas would win the tiebreaker on points.
• Molina and Pinkston have been eliminated.
D-I - W: South Oak Cliff or Kimball, R: South Oak Cliff, Kimball or Adamson; D-II - W: South Oak Cliff or Carter, R: South Oak Cliff, Carter, North Dallas or Seagoville.
District 12-4A
• Lincoln (9-1, 7-0) has clinched the top seed in the 4A Division II playoffs, and the district title.
• Bryan Adams (6-4, 5-2) has clinched a 4A Division I playoff berth and can clinch the top seed in Division I with a Samuell loss to Thomas Jefferson.
• Samuell (5-4, 4-2) has clinched a 4A Division I berth, and can grab the top seed in Division I with a win over TJ.
• If Samuell beats TJ, the winner of the Hillcrest (5-4, 4-2) / Woodrow Wilson (4-5, 3-3) game will get the runners-up spot in Division II.
• If Samuell loses, forcing a three-way tie, Woodrow must with by eight points over Hillcrest to make the playoffs. A win over seven or fewer will give Hillcrest the spot.
• Conrad, Spruce and Thomas Jefferson have been eliminated.
D-I - W: Bryan Adams or Samuell, R: Bryan Adams or Samuell; D-II - W: Lincoln, R: Hillcrest or Woodrow Wilson
District 13-4A
• Sherman (7-2, 5-1) has clinched the top seed in the 4A Division I playoffs.
• Wylie (3-6, 3-3) is the Division I runners-up, holding head-to-head wins over Denison and McKinney North to claim the final playoff berth out of 13-4A.
• The winner of the Lovejoy (9-0, 6-0) / Wylie East (7-2, 5-1) game will clinch the top seed in the 4A Division II playoffs, with the loser relegated to the runners-up position.
• Denison, McKinney North, Royse City and Greenville are eliminated from playoff contention.
D-I - W: Sherman, R: Wylie; D-II - W: Lovejoy or Wylie East, R: Lovejoy or Wylie East
District 15-4A
• Ennis (8-1, 5-1) has clinched a 4A Division II playoff spot.
• Lancaster (8-1, 5-1) has clinched a playoff spot.
• Red Oak (6-3, 5-1) has secured a 4A Division I berth.
• Waxahachie (5-4, 3-3) can clinch a Division I runners-up berth with either a win over Ennis OR losses by both Mansfield Summit and Arlington Seguin.
• Mansfield Summit (3-6, 3-3) can clinch the runners-up spot in Division I with a win over Lancaster AND a loss by Waxahachie.
• Arlington Seguin (3-6, 2-4) will secure a runners-up berth in Division II with a win over Red Oak AND losses by both Summit and Waxahachie, winning a berth in a three-way point tiebreaker.
• Mansfield Legacy and Mansfield Lake Ridge are eliminated from playoff contention.
