Have to remember to bring a bunch of those choose Flour Bluff applications for transfer in students. LOL Would be a classic game and location. No doubt both have gotten better since game three. It's always a throw down anyway but playoffs would be a first and even more amped up.

Except GPJohn. He will support Flour Bluff as long as they are not playing GP. And especially if FB is playing Calallen.

Don't forget me Varmint, I'm a big FB & PLC fan. I really like both teams and most people on this board who support those two teams. JD & Danrut are great guys and I've met FB Fan too and he also is a great guy. I don't hate Calallen, but it's just a Wildcat thing I had instilled in me growing up. I also like Alice as well, but since alicecoyotes went off on his tirade before our game with them, it really put a bad taste in my mouth about the Coyotes. And, after our game with them and all the cheap-shots and dirty plays against us, I can't find myself cheering for them in any way. I'm sure CPA & sotex are great guys, but didn't get a chance to meet them at Chentes before our game. I really wish the best of luck to all CB teams in the playoffs this year. Good luck to all! Second season is fixing to begin.

I like Kingsville better than Buc. The metal footboard in the stands makes an awfully loud noise when necessary.

Only of the west side and if you are the visitor as I think that is the side they get when high schools play there. When the Javs play, they use the west side for the team sideline and the general/ student sections. East side is reserved for the old goats

perfect: @kingsville Javelina stadium Friday at 2:30. Are there any dissenters? You guys from Bluff got to let Calallen have the home side (both sides about equal seating) because only Mom and Dads and the old and I mean Old faithful will be there, and they need those seatbacks, and they don't have to walk as far to get inside stadium, and they need that afternoon sun to keep the bones warm. Other issues to be settled now, include: 1.Cal gets to wear white even though they are the home team, because white makes you look bigger, and FB does not need that help. 2. Even though Cal is home team Flour Bluff award winning Naval JROTC will provide Color Guard. 3. Officiating crew will be assigned by UIL (no further comment, on that) 4. There will be no photos of River Rat's getting haircuts, Bluff oons grilling road kill or any such postings on this url. 5. Strike #4, best putdowns will determine the winner in the case of tie at regulation. There will be no overtime. Got to get to Kings Inn before dark. 6. Calallen will warm up on the northside of stadium, so as Flour Bluff can warm up on south end zone. It will be the closest to a college most of them will get. Get ready for round 3 -

He will be tending to the Bar-B-Que at the Chapote Ranch afterward.

H.S. football notebook: Mapping out the Coastal Bend playoff roadFlour Bluff still awaiting playoff destination www.caller.com/news/2012/nov/08/hs-football-notebook-flour-bluff-still-awaiting/31-4A COASTAL BEND β District champ Flour Bluff (9-0, 6-0), Ray (7-2, 5-1) and Alice (6-3, 4-2) all have qualified, with the latter two assured of big- and small-school berths, respectively. The only way the Hornets wouldn't enter the playoffs in the DII bracket is if Miller somehow qualifies for the final playoff spot ahead of two Laredo schools in a complicated, unlikely scenario. "We're hanging in there, hanging in by a thread," Miller coach Remy Rodriguez said. Given the matchups, Nixon (5-4, 3-3) is the front-runner to join Ray in the big-school playoffs, even assuming a home loss Friday to the Bluff. However, once-written-off Miller (4-5, 2-4), still has a chance but needs to help itself and get a whole lot of assistance. First and foremost, the Buccaneers would need to beat the Texans in the renewal of Corpus Christi's longest-running football rivalry. Miller also would need Nixon to lose to the Hornets and have Martin (3-6, 2-4) lose at Alice. The Bucs then would be tied with Nixon at 3-4 and Miller would advance on its 38-35 win over the Mustangs on Oct. 20. That also would bump the Bluff into the big-school bracket with Ray. Anything short of that and Miller's season ends. Nixon owns the tiebreaking edge in a three-way knot with the Bucs and Martin and its 27-14 win over Martin last Saturday eliminated the Tigers. "We'll just wait and see how the chips fall Friday. Going off projections, I would say we're going to go small school," Bluff coach Darrell Andrus said. "But as soon as you start going off projections things change. That's why the games are played." CLASS 4A DISTRICT 29-4A Three of the four playoff spots have been secured. Medina Valley and Floresville, the district's smallest teams and co-leaders at 7-2 and 5-1, have clinched Division II berths. But the seedings, and what team will play eighth-ranked Port Lavaca Calhoun and Calallen, are pending Friday's regular-season finales. San Antonio Harlandale is 4-2 and has a Division I spot clinched. San Antonio Southside can win the final DI spot by beating McCollum. However, in the event Harlandale, Southside (3-3) and Uvalde (3-3) tie at 4-3, Harlandale has the tiebreaking edge in points and Uvalde has the head-to-head edge on Southside. If Uvalde and Southside tie for the final spot, the Coyotes advance to the DI postseason with their head-to-head win. DISTRICT 30-4A District champ Port Lavaca Calhoun (9-0, 6-0) and Calallen (7-2, 4-1) have their small-school playoff tickets punched, and Gregory-Portland (7-2, 3-2) is in as a Division I entrant. The only question is whether it will be Victoria East (3-6, 2-3) or Victoria West (5-4, 2-3) that will be joining G-P in the big-school bracket and the seedings. Should G-P beat West to earn the top big-school seed and Calallen defeats East, East advances by virtue of its 54-48 win over the Warriors on Oct. 12. The only way West can advance and with the big-school top seed is by beating G-P by at least 11 points coupled with an East win over Calallen. That would force a three-way tie with G-P and the Victoria schools. West would have the tiebreaking edge in points, while G-P's win over East would send the Wildcats to the playoffs as the No. 2 DI seed. DISTRICT 32-4A Regardless of what happens Friday, the postseason field from this district is set. Mission (9-0, 6-0) and Mission Veterans Memorial (5-4, 3-3) are Division I-bound and Edcouch-Elsa (7-3, 5-1) and Mercedes (7-2, 5-1) are headed to the small-school bracket. Edcouch had two of its losses reversed Wednesday after the University Interscholastic League ruled the Yellowjackets did not use an ineligible player earlier in the season. One Rio Grande Valley media outlet already published Ray-Memorial bi-district playoff arrangements but that still is tentative pending how 31-4A finishes with the Miller scenario still alive. Even if Memorial loses to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (2-7, 0-6) and ties with either Pharr Valley View (5-4, 2-4) or Roma (5-4, 2-4) β those two play each other Friday β the Patriots own district wins over VV and the Gladiators. Mercedes could get the top spot in the DII playoffs by beating Mission and if the Yellowjackets lose to Rio Grande City. Otherwise, Edcouch gets the top DII berth.

30-4A scenario is wrong as listed by caller times. unless they are assuming TM gets beat by Beeville. CCCT always has been known to assume.
