Thanks Clem...just wait until Dove Season starts....talk about BUSY! Our laydown yard is just outside the C.C. City limits so I can walk from my office to the back and be dove hunting in a few minutes if I ever need a quick fix! Nice bro!!!! My cousin got a sweet deal on a 100 acre lease on IH 10 (Central/South border) and asked me to shred about 20 acres for it and in turn he is letting my boy and I have access to it as much as we want. It is 9 miles from my house so I am roading the tractor over there Friday morning to get it done. He told me that for the last two years it has been unreal! He said the first few weeks you can kill a limit in 10 minutes and if you selectively shoot, have them all fall within 30' of where you sit! LMAO The amount of whitewing doves in this area is just unbelievable. They come from the fields on the other side of 10 and fly back into Cibolo, schertz, converse, etc to roost. Literally hundreds of thousands of birds. Sounds like a blast and my boy is pumped. That sounds great! We stopped by Bass Pro before we left Houston last week and loaded the plane with some Mojo dove decoys!! Those suckers really work! I hope your son has many bag limits this season Clem!

I hope your son has many bag limits this season Clem! I saw some guys using them last year on an invite hunt down South of Jourdanton and Hell yes they work. They sat about 15 of them out in front of them in the field and I swear they had their limit in 1/2 the time we got ours! Thanks, I hope he does too. He is not nearly as good with the shotgun as he is with the rifle, pistol, or bow. His problem is he's trying to 'aim' and you don't aim a shotgun. You point and shoot. I've been trying to teach him how to just use the shotgun as an extension of your arm, point, follow, fire, & follow through. Hopefully he'll get it down quickly. Good hunting to you and your son as well. We've got to hook up one weekend this year down at your place and BBQ & drink a few. I really want to see it! Maybe when deer season is over and things slow down a bit. Tell Jr to GATA this Friday Night!!!!!!

Reporting live from scenic Seguin, Texas...FB girls advance to the semi-finals beating Floresville in 3 sets. Floresville has a great hitter...it was very close. Congrats to the Lady Hornets...next up is the winner of SA Marshall and SA Roosevelt.

Big game tonight at FB....the girls take on Calallen. If this game is anything like some of the exciting ones between the two teams last year, it will definitely be entertaining!!

FB swept Calallen in 3 games even though we played poorly. I miss Calallen's old coach...she brought excitement to the game!! She was there though cheering on both teams. Starting District on Friday at 17-5. Good luck lady Hornets!

Starting District on Friday at 17-5. Good luck lady Hornets! The girls are on a roll and going into district playing well. Good stuff. Yes they are FBfan. The toughest opponent in district will be Moody which I encourage everyone to come out and watch. We should end up on top, but the way Moody hustles, it will be an entertaining match. They can use the other distrcit games to implement plays which will be needed further down the playoffs against teams like Dripping Springs. If the brackets remain constant from last year, Floresville and Medina Valley will be the biggest hurdle for the girls in the 31-4A winners bracket. Floresville has a very athletic and tall girl who gave us some problems in Seguin, but we came out on top. In the other half of the bracket, Dripping Springs, Boerne Champion, Brennan, and AH should all battle it out depending on who wins 25-4A and 27-4A. I would say District 25 and 27 are by far the toughest in Region IV. They are taking it game by game though and will have a lot of fun memories to reflect on after this season. I'm starting to really get into this sport...hell, I even know why they are blowing the whistle now!
