I finally got a copy this weekend. 31-4A is pretty close to expectations. Not sure that both Ray and Miller will make the playoffs. If Ray and Laredo Nixon both make the playoffs, then Flour Bluff and Alice will be DII. That could make an interesting 2nd Round matchup with Calallen and PLC. If both Ray and Nixon are not in the playoffs, then Flour Bluff will be DI with either Ray or Nixon.
Just over 8 weeks to go until Week 0 Kickoff!

Either way if it happens two FB vs Cal games in one season should light up the forum. The net might run out of funny pictures.

In my opinion, there is too much talent at both of the Vic schools for them to miss the playoffs. Isn't east 2-0 vs g.p. and beeville their only years in exsistence, and those 2 keep popping up in playoff talk? I also think west has just as good a chance as 5 of the other 6.

I actually like the pick for the 4A Div. I state title game better. Welcome aboard. Please tell more from up there in Region 1 & 2 to join in here. I bet you do. That was a helluva a game in 2010 of Guyer vs. Steele for the 5A D2 Title. District 5-4A looks like 24-4A from last year. Between 5-4A and 30-4A it is a toss up on which is the strongest district in Texas. Let the games begin in just over 4 weeks!

Yeah, 5-4A is going to be strong, but I don't see anyone else challenging the duo of Guyer and Rider. Maybe Lake Dallas does, but they're not the most consistent bunch from year to year. I honestly can't get a good read on Nelson. Wichita Falls has some talent coming up from their sub-varsity squads and Azle is improving. It will be interesting to watch the battle for fourth place though. Old High getting to the playoffs (along with Lake Dallas) would bump Rider to D-I.

Really the only team that has given LT competition and now they are no longer in the way. I believe Longview dropped as well? Maybe it's some other team from East Texas.

I don't remember anybody from East Texas dropping, though there are only three left in 5A. CP is going to be good but we wouldn't play them until the finals. Leander is 4A now as well and they could present a challenge. I think Amarillo is getting underrated... if Aledo goes D-II that would be our first big test in the playoffs.

Err... no, Guyer's the largest school in the district so definitely D-I. I read that back and that was poorly worded. If Aledo goes D-I they would be our first big test in the playoffs... if Aledo goes D-II then Amarillo is (probably) our first big test.
