I know that Calallen doesnt have 11 returning on Offense. QB is going stricly baseball and RB graduated, not sure of lineman and recievers. 11 sounds better so we will just keep the huge expectations lofty and root them on to state. Calallen has 6 on offense and 6 on defense returning, and that accounts for the loss of last year's QB. The "11" number was an error within the district breakdown section, but they got it right on the ranking on the first page of the 4A section.

Scheible (sp) is listed as QB. I hope we don't have another rotating situation between him and Nesloney.

Cal will have problems replacing Price and will have to sustain longer drives for scores this year. Breaking in a new QB is always tough. Danaher consistently develops his talent though so Calallen should always be the team to beat. I would say Cal brings back 5.5 on offense as theyad lots of younger kids get quality time starting due to injuries...including McCurley if they play him at QB: They lose: Brearton Aguilar Woods Storm Price Dorsey Knowing about Cal, a they'll do OK this season, although they might have growing pains and might lose a game or two at the get go. Really, I didn't know that there is such thing as 0.5 of a person existed!

Returning 12 starters off a state semi-finalist team is one Hell of an outstanding start IMO! I would think anything more than 7-8 returning starters on a 4a/5a team would be better than average since seniors typically account for the bulk of the starters in programs. I'd say with the LB corp they return the D should be pretty damn good in a hurry and should allow the O time to 'grow into their own' early in the year. You don't just 'replace' a player like Price but if any team can find another kid to step up, it is Calallen. Danaher gets the most out of what he has 99% of the time!

1. Calallen 2. PLC 3. VE 4. GP My copy of DCTF magazine has 1. Calallen 2. Calhoun 3. G-P 4. VE My bad. I think they have PLC a few spots high. We aren't returning anything and we all know that is near impossible to overcome. I think we at PLC should just hope we can get into the top 4 and make the playoffs. I'm telling you guys, PLC has a few really good players coming up. Our Juniors this year could be one of the best classes we've had. Not just recently, but ever! I may be proved wrong, but these kids top to bottome are going to shine. They haven't played together much the last few years since some have been on the varsity team, but after a slow start, I see some good football being played at Calhoun this year. Again, 9/28 can't get here soon enough. It's then that we will see just how good PLC and Calallen really are.

Scheible (sp) is listed as QB. I hope we don't have another rotating situation between him and Nesloney. Scheible is a good QB, but he has been playing WR in 7 on 7 with Lowrance and McCurley getting the QB reps. I think Calallen will some rotating QB's at the beginning of the season. Hopefully one will outshine the others early and y'all can get into the rhythm with him before district. Scheible was clocked running a 4.5...he is very versatile and I wouldn't doubt if he played a lot of positions. I'm sure Boone wishes he had this one back!

It was the first game of the season, but I think J. Williams was already playing varsity for y'all. Y'all had some big linemen and a couple of fast kids playing RB and in the defensive backfield though.

The #22 in this picture was a pretty good athlete.
