Calallen 07-08 teamBatting Average .387 On Base Percentage.463 Slugging Percentage.567 Fielding Percentage .971 Win Loss Percentage .977 Plate Appearances 1386 Callen 10-11 teamBatting Average .390 On Base Percentage .501 Slugging Percentage .671 Fielding Percentage .917 Win Loss Percentage .882 Plate Appearances 1223 I'd love to see the pitching numbers between the two teams, I know the boys of 08 went the entire playoffs with committing an error. Defense was smooth as glass.

The only loss that year was the result of a long ball by Moody early in the season if I remember correctly... One bad inning at the Burger. I think Jordan pitched that one and was pretty flawless for most of the game? Yeah...he hung one to Rudy Flores with 2 men on and Flores didn't miss. But JJ ended the season as the winning pitcher in the state finals so I'd say everything worked out.

As Coach Chapman said in todays story: "Good pitching usually shuts down good hitting, so we'll find out how good our hitters are this week." The 2008 pitching staff knew that they had a great defense behind them which allowed Verrett and John to challenge opposing hitters. Best of luck to the boys this week, I love watching baseball on Memorial Day Weekend.

I wonder what type of competition these guys have faced through out the year. Reiningers older brother was a stud a few years back. Thanks for the details on SV

Thanks for the details on SV Yes sir so true the competition in the coastal bend is tough. I have there full schedule with scores if you like it for your next game. Here's what max prep has to say on schedule ratings I don't know how they get those numbers. From the grapevine - flip will be tomorrow at 12:45...and SV most likely will want a one game playoff - so Chapman will have to win the flip for 2 out of 3
