Great picture FBfan...and you haven't changed a bit buddy! Sounds like you had some characters on that team...i really like the fake tobacco! cfwb...you were off on some of the players, but the more I looked at them, the more I laughed because I would have thought the same thing. Smith, Paschal, and Wychoff are not present...can't remember those kids names, but that really does look like a little Paschal! Vickers is top center and Roger Mota bottom right and Danny Cortez next to the Paschal imposter. This picture appears to be an all-star team from Oil Belt, but it was not. We were the Minor Aces (10 year olds)...didn't have a sponsor so we wore the 14-15 year old all star uniforms from a few years back. We were the laughing stock of the league...lost our first game 20-2...no hits, just walks and strikeouts. We bounced back though and won it all beating the Bantams 10-9 in the ship!! We got to go to DQ after winning!! The coach on the left brought a bar of soap to practice the first day threatening to use it if he heard any bad language. CFWB's Dad coached me the next couple of years and we went to Mother's Pizza after every game regardless of winning or losing...lol...no bar of soap at those practices or games!!!

I would say yes...I do like the Alice set up as well though. Can we get the suites at Aviator Field for the tournament? Alice has a great facility. Their own dressing facility is great. I haven't seen Sinton's dressing room. But Alice's is second to no one's. And I'm sure that Mike Davila will open a suite for you. Make the check out to TM Booster Club. The bigger the check, the better the Hor d'voures. ...Will do! Just don't tell him I'm good friends with the Schiebles!!

Game Day...
Bluff vs. Sinton at 9am at Calallen, weather 72 degrees
Don't forget your ear plugs and be careful where you park...per cfwb, some of the old parking along the street is a no parking zone now.
Bluff has revenge on their minds for the 2:00 pm game vs. King...I hope they don't overlook the Pirates. I'm thinking the Pirates might get to see one of our soph pitchers or Mims while King will get Carter.

And you had to walk 10 miles to the ball park through the snow, wind and ice just to get to practice too.

If we have yesterday's wind today, the BBCOR bats will not be a factor. Of course if we were playing at JD's old stomping grounds, the pop flys would have a hard time getting past the mound!

I wish ya'll could have heard Rod Hackett's dad announce at the games. When we would hit one out he would say "Downtown Calallen"!!! It was hilarious.

Sandy Koufax was my Baseball idol growing up in the 60's. I was a Los Angeles Dodgers fan only because of Sandy.
