This might get good....lol. I certainly don't want any beanballs thrown at our guys other than those that are intentional!

Play the damn games.................... Unless their is lightening in the area! This is one of the few things I've hated about baseball.................. Obviously, you've never stared down a 88 mph ball, and you're not sure if it coming for you, or just a little inside the plate. Now factor in that the ball is wet, the pitchers hands are wet. The umpire needs to buy a new chest protector, and ask for a brand new ball every pitch, not to mention JD will have to buy a new glove, with two days to break it in. And the maintenance people working overtime fixing the mound, batters box, and second base. it's too wet so we can't play. WTH??? suit up and play the damn ball game. Both teams have to deal with the elements, don't they?

Certainly wouldn't bother me to make Calallen spend some extra money on more diamond pro. But don't wish that on the grounds crew (i.e. the coaches) at Fairgrounds.

Gotcha covered there otter...btw, if Bobby Craig would have been AD, he would have had Nueces County throw in the ground crews as part of the deal with that field. I mean, T-M is basically mandating that the County actually peform their preventive maintenance on that capital asset they own...it's not like Borchard is going to go grab a rake and hoe....well, at least he won't grab a rake. Craig could have also gotten Roger to get Jeremy to sign some basketballs to hand out to the staff at the courthouse. Hell, Sheriff Kaelin could have gotten Jerry to sign some baseballs with his record setting Calallen baseball average on them to sweeten the deal! Sorry to regress....back to baseball!!

Yes, the 70's really were this orange...at Oil Belt anyway! I know there is at least one viewer, other than me, that is in this picture!

THAT IS FUNNY I thought building that park (knowing that Nolan Ryan was about to come to CC) wasn't such a good idea in the first place. Oh well TM has a really nice place to play now. What do you think, 2nd only to Sinton in the area?

Their own dressing facility is great. I haven't seen Sinton's dressing room. But Alice's is second to no one's. And I'm sure that Mike Davila will open a suite for you. Make the check out to TM Booster Club. The bigger the check, the better the Hor d'voures.

Alice and anyone else's is second to Sinton's. They probably have the best high school( used by one high school) facility south of San Antonio and maybe Austin. A bunch of small to medium colleges/universities would love to have Sinton's facility.

Smith, Ramsey, ?, ?, Luby, Koliba ?, ?, Paschal, ?, Bowen, Wychoff And the biggest difference between FB Fan's and JD's little league era was the newfangled glove with a web used in JDs era. .....and let me guess.....bottom row, second from right?

Bingo. Man I haven't looked at that picture in a long long time. Brought back a lot of memories of good times. Top left is Hollis Cates our other usual starting pitcher besides me. Next to Hollis is Jackie Peck(er) our catcher. He hit about 750 that season. Had too, couldn't run for squat. Can't remember the name of the guy next to him but he hit about 800 and had his birth certificate more questioned than Obama's. Second from the right middle row is Smitty or Spitty as we called him. Used to mix cocoa and sugar so he could spit brown like it was tobacco. LOL freaked other team kids out. Bottom row second from left Jake Frudigger. Toughest little sob that ever played SS. He would take one off his forehead before he let it get by seriously. Middle bottom Jim Glasgow (glass gut) he used to get so wound he sometimes puked before the game but he and Jake were magic around 2nd. Take a good look at our coaches. No body gave them any crap. LOL
