he's not my coach. I'm a non-biased spectator and I appreciate greatness when I see it.
[/quote] Non Bias? Really??? Hopefully next year you'll man up and act like a grown up. If you're not proud of your team that's fine just stop running everyone elses team down.

Merry Christmas to you and yours...

well first off, he played them 3 quarters - i think 7 quarters is more of a madden thing (when i get home from work pizt off i like to play 6 quarter 15 minute games on rookie level lol). a lot has to do with getting them accustomed to the lights and atmosphere and nerves and what not - whether you like to admit it or not, it helped greatly. they've been about the same talent-wise the last 2 years but didn't knock down the door until this year, and every single bit has to do with the playing time and other variables involving playing time. there's no way playing his freshman against the varsity could ever equate to playing a different team employing a different system on a different field. it's just not the same. lol I don't know and could care less how good of a man he is off the field - that's not my business, nor yours unless ur kin lol. However, let the rings talk for his coaching style. WRONG! Calling a TO w/ 2 seconds to go in the game and scoring a TD on the next play when you are already winning by 3 scores is just flat out rubbing it in, NOT GETTING YOUR PLAYERS IN GAME SHAPE. Color it however you want it, he's NOT a good guy to pull something like that. He enjoys running it up on lesser teams and will get his one day. game shape man. you can't stay in shape when ur only on the field 9 minutes a game. here's another thing to point out - look at how close the state final game was. one point - I'm pretty sure kicking all those extra points helped in the long run...

Did you ever play football yourself? What do you think the 'scout team' does every freaking week in practice??? LMAO Nuff said! i think they run the same system the varsity/starters do. it's fine and all, but going against different systems (albeit not as good athletically) did help prepare them mentally for more of the same down the road with better athletes. you're obviously blinded by the scores, but you can't argue with the results. look at that run big sandy had in the 70s that one year. they beat a team 94-0.

I'm not for running anyone's team to the ground, but if you can't take it then don't dish it.

I'm just sharing a different perspective. No one's forcing anyone to read anything they don't want. I try my best to post within the rules on all boards. Like I said, don't dish it if you can't take it.

Hey Padna, the 'scout team', normally the JV runs the offense & the defense of the team that you are facing that week in practice. THat is why they are called the 'scout team'. Now, I'd be more then willing to bet that Refugio's freshman and jv players were better athletically then the teams varsities that they trounced by 80 or so points, DON'T YOU THINK?! Like I said, if you think the reason Cisco came back on Refugion in the final the last few minutes was because of the 'shape' they were in, and that the Bobcats held on to win by one point was the sole results of RUNNING IT UP ON PEOPLE, then I cannot help you any further! And if you think it is 'sportsman like' to call a TO with 2 seconds left so you can score another TD with the last play of the game when you are already up 3 scores, I cannot help you any! And if you think his 'mentality' is not carrying over to his kids and the fans in the stands.....GO SIT NEXT TO THEM AND WATCH A GAME! Like I said, he will get his one day and I hope like hell that when it happens, the opposing coach does not pull his foot off the gas one damn bit!

CB if he didn't get it this time........well? I've never liked to see anyone run up the score on a weak team. I can tell you LT showed lots of class by taking their foot off the necks of FB and it didn't make them fold the next week beating CP for the second time this year. Refugio had a great year but I'm sure there's some teams, coaches and fans that would like to pay them back for some of the lopsided wins. Sometimes those types of wins backfire on team and coaches. I still think it was their year and would have won no matter winning by 1 pt or 50 pts.

And, they've got a ton coming back but they lost two studs that were a HUGE part of that offense. The WR is legit and will be a great slot receiver at Baylor.
