Welcome to 5A Boerne🫣 8/16 @new Braunfels (SCR) 8/23 vs Liberty Hill (SCR) 8/30 @ Comal Pieper (5A-1) 9/5 vs Laredo United (6A) 9/13 @ Medina Valley (6A) 9/20 vs East Central (6A) 9/27 @ Alamo Heights* 10/11 vs Harlandale* 10/18 @ Victoria West* 10/25 vs SA Vets* 11/1 @ McCollum* 11/8 vs Tivy* Loaded front end of the schedule for sure. The 6As aren’t world beaters but Medina Valley is +1000 kids and EC and LU are +2000 to Boerne. No more big dog vs small schools, they’d better be conditioned and the second stringers ready to take some snaps. Wow The NB and LH scrimmages are good ones for Boerne. They are going to find out real quick just how good they are or not. Non-district I honestly see only 1 sure win and that is MV. Pieper was very impressive last year in only their 2nd season and I do not see them going backwards from there. LU is always tough and they usually have some size up front and some kids that are fast. EC has a QB coming back that is one hell of an athlete and when he gets loose he is trouble. I could see Boerne being as good as 3-1 going into district or 1-3 just as easily. I think 2-2 honestly wouldn't be that bad at all and 3-1 would be outstanding IMO.

Having East Central and United at home this season are pluses, neither school will bring a big crowd. I think 2-2 is managed expectations for non-district. 3-1 would be a wake up call to lookout for the Hounds. The bye coming after Alamo Heights is probably timed up just right because I would expect them to be pretty banged up at that point and needing some rest before the back half of the season where it counts.

I definitely think AH and Boerne will battle for 1and 2. Probably a toss up for 3 and 4. Not sure what Tivy has coming back but until they turn the corner and get it turned around. They will probably be 4th or 5th.

Victoria West QB and RB where a big part of that offense last year they lose them both plus they lose other key players. The team will be rebuilding next year not sure what they got coming up will see one thing about Victoria is family’s moving in all the time maybe the gods will send them a QB. West will be good this year. They are losing their QB, but have a lot of great players moving up from JV, including the coach’s son at QB, with a solid undefeated JV team. More transfers will be available as well. West does well against these San Antonio teams, but Boerne and Alamo Heights will be tough. West should be good this year.
