Floresville Athletic Director Andrew Rohrs resigns. I think his son was a Senior this past season. I don't know if that was a factor, but it could have been. Coaches sometimes do that.

The guy did a lot for Floresville. He got more athletes college scholarships in his nine years then the previous HC/ADs did in last 30 years. He also had to help guide students though a terrible community tragedy. Wish him the best in whatever he does in the future.

He had one winning season in his 8 or nine years here. I do wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Sometimes wins and losses aren't what make you a good coach. Despite what some may say. If a coach saves a kids life or gets them into college, sometimes that's a successful coach. It truly depends on the situation.

Yeah but when the townspeople start getting upset with the lack of playoff appearances and wins I think it’s time to invest in a new coach.

I was surprised that they didn't make it last season. I had them over Pleasanton and RF easily. I knew it would be tough games vs LV, Beeville, and PLC, but thought they would play them tough. I did not expect the outcome they had honestly.

We have made the playoffs under him a few times but were always first round exits, and the only winning season he had we had a great qb, rb and a couple of good wr’s, we still only made it to the area round. As I said he was a great AD but not a good coach at all.

No offense, but having to either go through Tivy, AH, Boerne, Calallen, and such during those years in the 2nd round is a tough task for most teams. So saying a 2nd round exit every year is happening isn't really a surprise. Now, if it were to Burbank or the like that would be bad... They have a brutal path in the playoffs every year no matter what.
