This from 2018. His grandmother graduated at GP. LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT 2018 14U South Showcase Kaden McCoy is a 2023 OF/MIF with a 5-5 120 lb. frame from Portland, TX who attends Gregory-Portland. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build which will continue to develop with physical growth. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front, works into a short and tight arm action on throws with a high slot, around the intended bag with throws, carry will continue to develop. Takes longer strides moving towards the ball in the infield, fields the ball out front, similar short arm action, will continue to refine overall footwork. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and low back elbow in the box. Utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing at the plate, employs a contact oriented approach, shifts weight well through lower half. Looks to lift at point of contact, flashes lift in swing path out front and creates contact to all parts of the field. Very good student. My great grand daughter is playing 14U softball at present and will get first place medallion at end of season. My daughter who is retired taught a lot of these kids and was surprised that Noah Turner did not go over to Sinton with the rest. Noah Turner signed a scolie at Amarillo college. I'm not saying he didn't grow up in Portland. I'm saying when he was in diapers his parents lived in Sinton.Β His mom is a Sinton graduate,I went to school with her.

I don't know about 11 pitchers, but they have 4 pitchers that Alaniz is using in his rotation. Blake Mitchell has started at pitcher only once this year and a couple times in relief which has me thinking, unless he pitches in one of the next 4 games, they may not use him at all in the playoffs except maybe in relief. Seem most of the 11 pitchers that have pitched in a game this season and if it wasn't for the solid 4 starters and not including Blake Mitchell right now but he will be used if needed but for now I'm hearing just catching and SS and spot relief to close games but there hasn't been no close games since Dripping Springs game when he came in to close it out for the save. Nothing wrong just isn't needed. Those other pitchers will get their chance next season. Jmo but I'm really high on Reyes kid I think he'll be ready to step in next season with Moody and Thomas. Lets hope for series in playoffs. next pitcher stepping up
