Something to be proud of for sure, but they still have to play the games at a high level to get back to the state tournament. If not they'll be sitting at home watching it on TV. And to be honest they have been lacking in some portions of their play the last few games.

And to be honest they have been lacking in some portions of their play the last few games. The Prep Baseball Report came out with their Texas top 30 rankings and had Sinton at #15. 13 of the 14 schools ahead of them are 6A schools with Friendswood being the lone 5A school. Sinton, Celina and Canyon Randall are the only 4A schools ranked.

Sinton faces a familiar Coach to GP fans; Coach Lance Standley He told GP to take this job and shove it. He went to Pleasanton,TX. Several players by the name of McCoy and Chester bailed out to Sinton. The Turner player for GP I heard wanted to transfer but could not make arrangements. Kash Wood on the Sinton team is Grandson of Rhonda Little Threadgill who graduated at GP. Her twin brother watched games from the sideline in a wheel chair. He has since passed away. Rhonda daughter is a teacher and Coach at Sinton.

So I would say Kaiden has more Pirate in him than Wildcat. LOL

So I would say Kaiden has more Pirate in him than Wildcat. LOL This from 2018. His grandmother graduated at GP. LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT 2018 14U South Showcase Kaden McCoy is a 2023 OF/MIF with a 5-5 120 lb. frame from Portland, TX who attends Gregory-Portland. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build which will continue to develop with physical growth. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front, works into a short and tight arm action on throws with a high slot, around the intended bag with throws, carry will continue to develop. Takes longer strides moving towards the ball in the infield, fields the ball out front, similar short arm action, will continue to refine overall footwork. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and low back elbow in the box. Utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing at the plate, employs a contact oriented approach, shifts weight well through lower half. Looks to lift at point of contact, flashes lift in swing path out front and creates contact to all parts of the field. Very good student. My great grand daughter is playing 14U softball at present and will get first place medallion at end of season. My daughter who is retired taught a lot of these kids and was surprised that Noah Turner did not go over to Sinton with the rest. Noah Turner signed a scolie at Amarillo college.

I'm not saying he didn't grow up in Portland. I'm saying when he was in diapers his parents lived in Sinton.
