Ughh, Aggies down early 8-0 in the 2nd inning. Starter Dettmer pulled after 1 2/3.

12-4 OU bottom 4th. Might be time to just cut bait and save the bullpen for Sunday's game.

After three games these CWS umpires are awful. Super tight strike zones, can't tell a foul off body part vs HBP. Blowing calls on the bases. Even the rules on what can and can't be reviewed are ludicrous.
And no replay should take longer then 45 seconds. If you can't make a decision in that time frame the call stands.

Just a pitiful performance by the Horns bats in both games and the defense looked like they didn't want to be there today against aTm. Hat Tip to ND and aTm. Horns need to get some better arms too.

Honestly, a&m only had 3 more hits than UT did yesterday in that game. Neither team hit the ball particularly well. The difference was that A&M put their hits together when it counted and UT strung their's out and were pretty much shutdown after the 2nd inning by the a&m pitching staff for the most part. Also killed UT in these 2 games not getting any production from Melendez. I can tell you this, for ESPN to zoom in on Melendez dad after he struck out with bases loaded WAS PATHETIC at best and shows they will stoop very low to sell views. Pretty damn sorry IMO. I will say this, for a&m to hold that UT offense to 1 earned run is pretty damn good, especially with the sloppy defensive play they had.

The defense has been a thorn in the A&M side all season but it's been pretty sloppy the last two games. Dallas going five innings was big time for A&M then the bullpen shut the door. Aggie batters worked the count numerous times and getting timely hits is their MO and it showed yesterday.

UT's hits were not timely and they left many on base unlike the ECU series where those hits came at critical times. And yes ESPN's coverage is starting to get on my nerves in more ways than one. Not just with the CWS, but other sports too. The on air talent is not what it used to be and the color commentators just go on and on about stuff they have no real clue about. It's to the point now sometimes I don't mind listening to football on the radio if I'm on the road just so I can listen to Craig Way instead of what ESPN offers. Even when a game is on the soon to be shut down LHN.

I heard the announcers say that a&m sees more pitches than any other team in the country and I believe it. They do a great job overall not swinging at balls and foul off borderline strikes that they cannot put into play

Stanford eliminated with a late comeback by Auburn. Top two favorites gone early. Stanford was their by the mercy of the baseball Gods. Their luck finally expired and should have never been a favorite by the odds makers. Ole Miss took the Hogs to the shed. Good!
