It’s Erick Soza from what I heard. If that’s true, it’s going to be interesting, father/son non district game?

It's true. Surprised Erick would leave daddy and his alma matta.

I’m curious if Soza will bring his version of the Slot T offense back to Rockport?

It's true. Surprised Erick would leave daddy and his alma matta. Why would you be surprised? Do you think he was going to be an assistant until Chris retired? Having said that, I hope the superintendent and school board will let him run the program as he sees fit.

Wouldn’t surprise me if dad joins him in a year or so. Perfect way to retire.

I mean he did apply for other jobs too. He just didn't get chosen. Good for Eric. He will do good of admin leaves him alone. He will have to do a lot of rebuilding given how bad it had gotten over there, but much like his dad, he can get it done with his work ethic.
I'm sure if they let him bring in some coaches, he will get them at least at 500 or close to it pretty fast. Without that, he could be in for a very long rebuilding process.

Rockport is in Dist 15 4AD2 which has Cuero, Ingleside, Robstown, Rockport & Sinton. There’s no doubt Cuero & Sinton will be # 1or2, Ingleside has improved and Robstown is waiting for baseball season to start. Soza will need help kick starting his program. GP has already poached Rockport D-line coach and I hope they grab Swinford before years end.Tanner is a good aggressive young coach and he would fix the problem with the Def secondary.

I will be interesting what Offense Coach Eric Sosa Runs, If it is the Wing-T, you may see some Wingnuts move over there from GP.

Good hire by RF. No doubt they are on to great things. Tough district though. Anyone know if the previous coach got a new gig?
