Wow. 1st and goal at the 1 YL for Pieper. Lost 1 yard over 4 plays.

Great 1st year for the seniors of Pieper. Yep! And their former SV teammates are still going. Great football in Comal.

Unreal defense tonight for LH and a hell of a turnaround from game one with these two teams! The difference in the game IMO was the huge fumble by Pieper at the goal line and the defensive stand by LH in the 2nd half. I did not like the play calling by Pieper on that defensive stand on 1st & 2nd down at all but all credit goes to that LH defense.
I should have know not to pick Pieper to win the region even after that dominant 1st game win over LH.
Congrats to LH on another Regional title

Pieper chewed up the LH defense in the second half the first game with that shovel pass. I was expecting it all game long and they barely used it. When they did use it they were unsuccessful. LH must have been spying that play the whole game. LH pass defense over achieved on the back end. They had good coverage on those 50/50 throws but Pieper receivers were still pulling them in. Pieper offensive line had trouble again with LH defensive line and the blitz.
I was stunned at the LH coaching staff calling a pass play in the red zone on 1st down and 1 (due to a holding penalty down the field on a long run). LH was running the ball at will and ended up throwing an INT in the end zone. I about came unglued. It was a little nerve racking until LH got the ball back and scored.

Agree odb
LH dominated both sides of the line last night. Offensively they got a great push unlike a few weeks ago and that push absolutely was the difference. With that push the Pieper LBrs had trouble getting to the ball and in turn the plays that were 0-2 yards a few weeks ago turned into 4-8 yards or more.
Hell of a job with the adjustments by the staff and a hell of a job by the LH kids to take those adjustments and implement them so well.
