1838 is near the Hospital in Seguin pretty near the stadium. You I believe are thinking of Clear Springs which is nearer NB on Hwy 46??? Very good groceries as well but always busy to and out of the way about 9 or 10 miles each direction for any of you coming in for the game. and you are right about the Burnt Bean. There is always a line for sure but it is damned good! They've done a good job revitalizing downtown seguin and there are quite a few good places to visit there now. Yes Clear Springs. Haven't been the in a minute and an extra 20 minute round trip isn't too bad. Hell, I like taking 72 at Three Rivers and going up 123. Could stop at Shorty's in Falls City. I hear the Burnt Bean sells out pretty fast nowadays. Yes sir The problem is that now there is about 6-7 traffic lights between Seguin and Clear Springs. That area has boomed the last 5-6 years with thousands of new homes off of it. It is a damn shame to see all that rich farm land being gobbled up with 5-8 houses per acre. Sickening! But you are right about Burnt Bean selling out. That they do so a backup plan is probably smart. The Power Plant is a really cool place and if you are coming in on 123 it is very easy to get to. It is right on the River at Starke Park and has a really nice outside covered deck and a pretty good choice of good brews as well. Clear Springs is still really good though but plan on about 15-20 minutes each way from the stadium. When I'd leave the office in NB it was right there by 46 & IH35 and there were days it took 30-35 minutes to get to IH10 in Seguin. The average time was 25 minutes for sure. It is crazy how busy that road is now and all the lights that have been added to it.

Friday at 7:30 Matador Stadium in Seguin I just saw that on another thread. WTH That is crazy for both to travel that far when they could play somewhere in CC or other CB stadium My pops & I were talking about this over the weekend he was like why far? They could’ve played the game at Buc, Beeville, Cabaniss or something

WTH That is crazy for both to travel that far when they could play somewhere in CC or other CB stadium If I’m not mistaken, we had the opportunity to play at Buc, but it would’ve had to be an early game since multiple games will be played there on Friday. I don’t think Coach wanted to do that. I’m not mad about it. Alice travels well, I’d expect just as many fans at this game if not more, since it’s a holiday week. Make sense on the first take, I don’t think people would wanna get out of work early to get to the game at Buc if they scheduled this a early game. I’m not upset at all by this & I’ll be able to make it there.

I thought they would’ve played this game like at a Beeville, Cabaniss or something. I’m not upset about having the game at Seguin on Friday Night. That bi district game with Calhoun that cold, rainy & windy night gave me nightmares for about a couple of weeks with someone’s typical mismanagement who never changed up the gameplan & never adjusted to their option run. This year’s matchup will be a battle between both teams no doubt about that. I gotta stick with our guys in Coyote Country to seize this game

I will take Calhoun to win this game them boys are hungry they have been hearing since last year about the rain is the only reason, they won last year from certain fans. Calhoun had beaten Alice 4 years in a row 5 with last year's win them boys know they don't need it to rain to win it should be a close game both teams are looking pretty good.

Do you have common sense? Because common sense tells you a game played in rain and 40 mph winds isn't going to effect a team that runs the ball 60x a game the same way it's going to effect a pass happy team like Alice was. But sure it wasn't all on the rain it was also on ignorant coaching trying to keep a family happy and throwing the ball over and over in those conditions when the running game was averaging 7 yards a carry.

Hard pick for me. Both teams destroyed really good squads this weekend. Crazy thing is both Alice and PLC have much better squads than last year. I don’t have a favorite in this one but will root on the winner.

Can the Yotes avenge last years first round loss to a 3-7(I think) PLC squad? Should be one heck of a ballgame! PLC has been playing some good defense against some good offensive teams! Love the Yotes but I think Calhoun squeeks by in this one!

Both offenses will eat up the clock. Let's not forget the defense. Both are playing very well.
