Watched the Amarillo vs Red Oak game. Red Oak won late on a long TD run by the QB. It was tied with 2 min to go. Amarillo could not get out of their own way. Red Oak is going to need to step it up next week. I know Red Oak is playing with their backup QB. Not sure if the starter will be back but that would go a long way for Red Oak to win. I will say Red Oak has some fast receivers that can hit a home run. However, I dont know if they are better than Lubbock Cooper. Not only at WR but all over. I think Cooper would beat Red Oak.

Red Oak is a solid team for sure but I don't think this game is as close as last week's game was.

What really impressed me was how well the team played against the champs of a solid district. From the start to the end of the game we physically won both sides of the trenches which made our playmakers on offense and defense fun to watch. The defense made several one-on-one crunching hits that could been highlighted on ESPN. Special team coverage and a turnover for scores were frustrating but overall we are peaking at the right time. The two Red Oak WR's caught anything thrown in their zip code and their QB was more athletic than I thought and made me nervous the whole game. I think the officiating crew did a good job in controlling the game from the start but especially did well when it got chippy towards the end. After the crazy playoff weekend, glad we get to play another week. Choctaw Stadium was a fun atmosphere but just to be driving next week to Stephenville to play at Tarleton Stadium will bring back exciting memories.

. The two Red Oak WR's caught anything thrown in their zip code They were pretty good. Seems like we keep running into good WR teams, Cooper, Red Oak, and now Abilene. Only getting more difficult from here.
