Let me preface my pick by saying that Boerne has a few good running backs behind T.J. Dement. #7 Igbo has speed, and will burn a team if he gets to open field, but he is light as a feather and does not break arm tackles. #1 Hicks is the absolute bruiser backup that the Hounds are lucky to have as the backup, but he gets used in the slot more since he came back from injury. #21 Perez is the second half running back and would have much better YPR average if he was running behind the starting offensive line. With all that said, I think if TJ Dement plays, Boerne and the clock both roll. If he doesn’t play, I think the passing game takes on greater importance. Coach Hendrix could run the “wild dog” or “wild hound” or whatever they call the wildcat with Hutson Hendrix at QB and just pound them down the field if he wanted to, so we will see Thursday what wrinkles he wants to add.
Boerne 56 Taylor 7

That’s better news lol, I think he rests against Taylor though and just stays available in the second half. He loves to play but I don’t think they need him Thursday.

Wow what's Dement's injury? Boerne will roll easily in this one. I'm hearing there could be some bad weather.

The only loss Boerne has was to Flour Bluff 42 to 35.

The only loss Boerne has was to Flour Bluff 42 to 35. Yes, good game too. I went to it. #18 torched the Hounds deep several times, just finding soft spots in the secondary and Paluseo got him the ball. I think if you play that game again today it’s just as tight but a coin flip on who wins.

The Taylor coach was out on the field many times complaining to the refs on their calls.

Kickoff is a few hours from now….rain has been steady for several hours now and looks to only get worse, not better, by kickoff. I’ll be there but expecting a heavy dose of run games by both teams.
