The one thing about the SEC, who is the best conference BTW, is that there are too many teams. The SEC has 2-3 elite teams, 2-3 really good teams, and everyone else is no different than a middle of the road team anyone where else. But with the size of the conference it stretches the schedules too thin, so you’re only playing 1 elite team and 2 good teams each year, then a bunch middle of the road guys. Adding Texas and OU is only going to stretch it thinner. I don’t like where college football is heading. I agree. I wish they'd cut up these conferences to 6-8 teams MAX, and that all the good ones stop playing FCS schools. Make the top 25 type teams play each other in Non conference. 10-12 games, and playoffs. Make it fun again.

As for considering Georgia the only elite team currently, I'm curious who else falls into that category currently?
Bama is very good, but no longer elite as these last couple season has seen them lose to teams an elite team wouldn't lose too.
Tennessee is very good, but not elite yet.
LSU is very good, but again no longer elite.
Florida, A&M, Ole Miss, Miss State, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Auburn are good but not at the level of the the above mentioned programs.
Vandy, Mizzou, and SC= Kansas or slightly better.
To me an elite team is someone that is unbeaten for an extended period, over multiple seasons. So Georgia is the only one that fits that in the entire country.
That is a very high standard, but I don't take the word elite lightly.
Now if it's just based on # of titles, Princeton (28), Yale (27), Alabama (18), Michigan (11), Notre Dame (11) , USC (11), Pitt (9), Ohio State (8), Harvard (7), Minnesota (7), Penn (7), Chokelahoma (7), Michigan State (6), Tennessee (6), Cal (5), Cornell (5), Illinois (5), Iowa (5), Miami (5), Nebraska (5), Georgia (4), Georgia Tech (4), LSU (4), Texas (4), Army (3), Clemson (3), Florida (3), FSU (3), Lafayette (3), Ole Miss (3), SMU (3), A&M (3), Auburn (2), Chicago (2), Columbia (2), Penn State (2), Stanford (2), TCU (2), Washington (2), Arkansas (1), BC (1), BYU (1), Centreville (1), Colorado (1), Dartmouth (1), Detroit (1), Kentucky (1), Maryland (1), Navy (1), OK State (1), Rutgers (1), Syracuse (1), UCF (1), UCLA (1): would mean the Ivy League is the most elite conference.... We all know that's not the case. Also title winning schools again Ivy league, then Pac 12, Big 10, and Big 12 have more members percentage wise that have titles, so those are more elite based on that. Again we know that's not true either. I don't mind letting it all get settled on the field of play and proven. I don't like the media forcing a narrative down our throats though. Again, like some posters when their team loses, they can't admit the other team was better that night. Always a ton of excuses as to why their team lost and none of it is because the other team played better. The media does it all the time. That's why now I cheer on any team playing against the SEC and when they play conference games I am hoping the both somehow lose.

By your and other SEC hater standards only GA is elite right now. At the end of the day the SEC is hands down better than any other conference for the past 25 years and that is not just based on BCS titles. It's based on head to head wins in non-conference and bowl games as well. You will soon see that in the SEC the Horns will have no Kansas teams to play...........NONE! Last year there were 6-7 teams in the SEC equivalent to Kansas. Let’s not have a mid off. hahahaha lmao Please name the 6-7 teams that were equal to KS last year.

Considering KU lost by two to Arkansas last year in the Liberty Bowl, there is one. I’d say based on the records last year KU was the equivalent of A&M, Auburn, Vandy, Kentucky, Vandy, And Arkansas. So that’s at least six.

Half of both teams starters sit out for the NFL draft or to avoid injury for the next season. Only playoff games matter now.

Still, point was made that KU was either slight below or equal to the teams listed last year.

Kansas went to OT with Arkansas last year and scored 50+. Arkansas finished 8th out of 14th in the SEC. Seems like a pretty easy math equation.

Seems like a pretty easy math equation. OK So they played AK great in a bowl game. That means they could and would do that week in and week out in the SEC? I'm not buying what you are selling. If you, Pico, and the others cannot see the difference in playing an SEC schedule vs a Big12-2 schedule you are not as football savvy as I thought. You all know damn good and well it is overall a much better conference and if it is not, why in the hell did your UT and blOwU want to move over into it?

You all know damn good and well it is overall a much better conference and if it is not, why in the hell did your UT and blOwU want to move over into it? I’ve said many times that it’s the best overall conference. That’s not debatable. What is also not debatable is that in 2022 Miss St, Ole Miss, A&M, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, and Kentucky would have had practically the same record no matter the conference they played in. You think any of them are winning the Big 12, PAC 12, or Big 10? No. They would be the same 6-7 win teams that they were in the SEC. Ole Miss played two ranked teams last year. Quite the grind. One of then was a Kentucky team that lost 21-0 to Iowa. Ole Miss then proceeded to get blown out by Texas Tech. You think 8-4 Ole Miss would be better than 8-4 in the another conference? No. Kentucky? They snuck pass Northern Illinois, lost to Vanderbilt, and the before mentioned Iowa. Obviously they’d be Big 10 Champs. Florida? Blown out by Oregon State. Good thing the PAC 12 doesn’t have to face them again. Missouri? We know them. And they beat Abilene Christian by 2 scores. Big 12 better hope they never come back eh? Vandy? Struggled against Elon and lost two games by over 50. A&M? Lol… Auburn? Snuck past San Jose St 24-16 before getting donkey stomped by Penn State. I’ll give you this one, they would have had a winning record in the Mountain West. None of those schools were any better than Kansas last year.

That's it if you can't convince them belittle them. Don't think it will work on Pico and JG however. In answer MONEY. The media hyped it, people bought it. Bingo money.

Its super weird, I’m a diehard Longhorn fan, but growing up Alabama was always one of my favorite teams. This was way before they went on their run. I liked the uniforms and the defense. But even as Alabama became what they are and everyone has grown tired of them, I still can’t kick the habit of liking them. So I hate admitting this, but I almost always root for them. It’s so weird lol.
