Looks like the Buffalo are coming back to the Big 12 next season. Get ready for the sweet smell of dirty hippies, weed, and Prime Time. INDIANAPOLIS -- The Big 12's presidents and chancellors voted unanimously on a conference call to accept Colorado as a new member on Wednesday night, sources told ESPN. The vote marks one of the final remaining steps to be completed for Colorado to leave the Pac-12 for the Big 12, a move that's hurtling toward being finalized on Thursday. Colorado still has not formally applied for Big 12 membership, another of the final formal steps remaining for it to join the league. But Wednesday night's Big 12 vote marks a necessary step toward it joining the conference, a move that's increasingly becoming an inevitability. A Colorado departure from the Pac-12 would come after the 2023-24 season and coincide with the end of the Pac-12 television deal. That would mean that Colorado would not have to pay any exit fee to the league. www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38076854/big-12-votes-unanimously-accept-colorado-new-member-sources-say

I can almost bet that the vote was swayed by the fact Dieon is their coach. People want to see him coach, and since he's a big draw now, Colorado becomes profitable.

Rumors are the new PAC TV deal is not going to be very lucrative and less than what the Big 12 is getting. I would not be surprised if Arizona and Arizona St are on the Big 12s poaching list.
I agree that Deion is more of a TV ratings draw than Colorado Athletics.

I agree that Deion is more of a TV ratings draw than Colorado Athletics. Reading one of the news outlet reports, the Big 12 has been talking to Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Gonzaga, and UConn. Another report mentioned FSU, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami, Wake Forest, Boise State, Maryland, Stanford, Oregon, Colorado State, and Oregon State. I know the Big 12 commissioner said he wanted to stay at 14 and at most 16 teams. So it'll be interesting to see what happens to the PAC teams and conference with 3 of the teams leaving. It's interesting to me that everyone thought Texas and blow-u leaving the Big12 was going to bring it to destruction, but it has made it stronger in my opinion as now more teams are wanting to be a part of the conference and it's now looking like the 2nd strongest conference out there.

Colorado moving back the Big 12 will certainly help them recruit Texas better. It always helps when out of state schools recruit Texas kids to remind them they might have 1 to 4 games back in their home state. With three of them being at Baylor, Cougar High and TCU which are major recutting grounds in atexss.

Looks like the PAC is about to fall into nonexistence as the Big 10 is now looking to add Oregon and Washington and possibly more. Quite a slap in the face for the PAC as they were trying to bring in most of the Big 12 just a few years ago. sports.yahoo.com/sources-big-ten-has-begun-preliminary-talks-to-potentially-add-oregon-washington-cal-and-stanford-173934989.htmlThis does not surprise me, I figured that college football was heading to two or three mega conferences and those might just become football-specific leagues. Men's Basketball might be added as it is a revenue-producing product for universities and conferences. I would bet in 10 years we will see these mega conferences break away from the NCAA as well.
