So with the phenomenal growth LH is facing, how long will this new 4a HS allow Liberty Hill HS to remain in 5a and not jump up to 6a? I would think if the growth remains about the same we will still see LHHS move up to 6a in the near future even with Legacy Ranch opening next year.

With that growth, and it being one of the fastest growing areas in the state, per a recent report, I see both schools growing to max capacity. A buddy of mine lives in LH, and he said discussion for HS #3 is already in the works. He was saying that they want to basically make the 3 schools equal in enrollment once things are all said and done, or as close to equal as possible. They feel that in doing that it gives the kids the best chance at success in the classroom and the athletic realm.

So with the new HS only having freshman next year, what does that do for LHHS on realignment day for the 2024/2025 classification??

I think the freshman will count with LH high school.

I think the freshman will count with LH high school. From my understanding, the Legacy kids will count toward Legacy not LH itself. Given the long term plan it doesn't sound like varsity athletics until the 26/27 realignment...
