Looks like they won't need to next go around. FB will have more than all of them, and they all appear headed for D2. .? Don't get what you're saying. Hound was talking about ccisd opting up, according to the PEIMS numbers they'll all be D2, but FB will be the lone D1. So if that holds, the D2 district will be pretty good with GP, Miller, Vets, East, West, and possibly a much improved Carroll.. Unfortunately for FB it would be either a crappy valley district, or they may get lucky and get a tough northern district... travel will suck either way, but at least San antonio/Austin area teams would help them prep for playoffs.

Just read that FB won the District Track Meet. I'm not sure how many of those dudes are coming back next year or play football. Either way it's impressive, Congrats! FB didn't just win... it was a total domination! They did it at the middle school level, too. FB is STACKED with athletic kids and speed... they will be a force. Yup, I saw that. tx.milesplit.com/meets/544729-area-2930-5a-trackmeet-2023-2023/results/907974#.ZEe0_nbMJYcFB won every sprint and relay minus the hurdles. They also won the high jump & triple jump. The score differential between them and the 2nd place team had to be quite large.

He is saying FB is showing more kids that them all. But, I don't put any stock in this preliminary #s crap. Hell, the UIL has handed out at least 2 5a D1 trophies in football the past few years to large 6a schools so if they can't get the numbers right in the final cut this one damn sure don't mean anything.

I looked at the 2023 high school numbers for East & West and East was in the 1800s and West was in the high 1700s I don't know how many in the incoming freshman class though or how the total numbers are figured.

It would definitely help FB if they can stay with East and West. That could help them move north into a competitive district. I think FB could definitely hang with some of those northern teams. That would still make ccisd and GP have a semi descent district with GP, Miller, Vets, and up and coming Carroll in it and not have valley teams in it making it crap again... they'd at least have 3 district games that'd be worth watching.

So CCISD will have ALL 5A-2 numbers for next year? Or will there opt ups?

So CCISD will ALL has 5A-2 numbers for next year? Or will there be an opt up or two? Looking at the PEIMS report they all fall into D2. I don't see UIL letting them opt up all 6 for no reason. They'd be in the same district in D2 so travel is not a thing.

FB Bradford Jennings sets record in the high jump. Previous record was set in 1981.
