Good the sooner they get all the conference reshuffling done the better IMO. And I mean in ALL the conferences.

Everyone knew an early exit was going to happen. Actually as ridiculous as it sounds, UT and OU came out ahead in the payoff. $80 million a piece was the original number. I think the Big 12 wanted UT and OU out of the way too because their might be some PAC 12 schools to pick up soon since their TV deal is going no where fast. Some of the chatter has the Arizona schools, Utah, and Colorado as being Big12 pickups. UT did have to adjust their schedule to satisfy Fox's demand and will now play Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2024 with Michigan returning to Austin in 2027. Fox will replace ESPN with having rights to Big 10 games in 2024, I was actually going to go to that game in 2024, but oh well. But chatter is the SEC is going to make sure UT has a top tier game in that forth week of the season in Austin to make the Sept schedule look more appealing to the home fans since the other two non conference games are against Colorado State and UTSA. Not that UTSA is a slouch unless they come off their high mark starting this upcoming season.

I think UT will do better in the SEC than blOwU will! At least I hope and pray they will.

Surely the SEC will make sure that happens on an Annual Basis.

I would certainly expect this to be one of the #1 games every year in the SEC for sure

Now we know it will be in 24. Where it will be played. Just waiting on the date of the game.

This is not set in stone at all. More like the Aggie AD in some hopeful speculation.

I'd hope that both the UT & Aggie ADs are hopeful as hell this game happens no matter where the first one is at! Heck, I think it should be at UT to be honest as the last game between the 2 of them was in CS.

Heck, I think it should be at UT to be honest as the last game between the 2 of them was in CS. Location. It's no secret that a few in Aggieland were upset UT was allowed to join the SEC and still are. The AD came out very early and made this statement about the first game being in CS even before the ink was dry on the transaction to kind of butter up the Aggie donor/fan base. Kind of like "Yea we are going to let them join, but that first game against TU is going to be at Kyle Field if we have anything to say about it." Nothing in that article says the SEC has agreed to this now or back then for that matter. The UT AD has been pretty vocal about the game being shelved and welcoming it's return. Del Conte wasn't AD when all this went down, unfortunately. www.burntorangenation.com/2023/2/16/23602542/longhorns-daily-news-texas-chris-del-conte-aggies-tamu-sec
