I saw something on Facebook a few weeks ago saying they were gonna put something like $30 million into renovating the dome. I think for some event or something that's gonna happen there. I don't remember the details. Maybe those renovations will get some state championship games played there š¤·š½āāļø

Nothing about renovations to locker rooms or adding additional locker rooms, which I believe was a major knock as to why the dome did not get state title game host considerations.
I believe the Alamodome has four locker rooms and UIL required six.

I believe the Alamodome has four locker rooms and UIL required six. That's what has been said. I don't think for a second the UIL is really interested in moving the championship around like they publicly put out there and will continue to bow to the feet of the DFW Superintendents and Jerryworld . If the UIL was serious and made it known to the decision makers who run the Convention and Visitors Bureau and other interests in Downtown San Antonio that they need certain tweaks to be done, it would happen.

Yea thatās what I was hoping for as well (the addition of the extra locker areas). Once that happens, the UIL wonāt really have another reason to deny the Alamodome as a serious state championship host. At least it will be hosting some quarterfinal and semifinal games.

I donāt think locker rooms matter. I think itās money. Thereās more money to be made in Dallas than San Antonio. The State Championship game at Jerry World isnāt going anywhere

It not we get him to lay the smakedown on the UILs candy A$$.

The State Championship game at Jerry World isnāt going anywhere I donāt think the UIL would suffer a major blow to revenue if it rotated between San Antonio and Arlington on an every-other-year basis or even every two years to follow the realignment calendar. San Antonio is a destination city even more so than Arlington. Houston on the other hand really isnāt and I can see why major sporting events are rare and in between in Houston vs San Antonio such as the NCAA Final Four, etc. Again, if the UIL was sincere and serious about giving San Antonio a shot, I believe San Antonio would listen and accommodate.
