NO. I'm not putting in a poll. Any Calhoun picks would just be homer picks or someone trying to KOD them anyway. So there's that.
Boerne will be the HEAVY Favorite. For good reason.
Remember Calhoun isn't supposed to be here. They shouldn't have made the playoffs after going 0-7 to start the season.
Shouldn't have beaten Alice or Canyon Lake.
But they are still Playing with House Money. They Literally Cannot lose because they are not supposed to be here anyway. Nobody outside Calhoun County is giving them many props as of yet and probably. DCTF did give a little shoutout from Tepper, but he was laughing all the way through it. I'd bet good money he won't give them a chance this week as he hasn't picked them to win a game all season that I have seen.
Posters to this forum have already said the hope Calhoun shows them how to beat Boerne next week meaning they don't give the Sandcrabs any shot at all.
Only thing I know is Calhoun will give it their best shot. Do they have the Talent of Boerne? NO. The Speed? Probably Not. But they have heart, Grit and determination to try to go as far as they can. I am already as proud of this team as a fan can possibly be. nothing can Happen to change that.
OK, I'm Done. Let's hear others thoughts.

Always a tough team to defend against with their option offense! If they take care of the ball then they’ll keep it close and if their defense comes to play, they have as good a shot as anyone else! Good luck PLC!!

Good luck PLC!! Don’t play woe is us with folks here! When you guys are on your game, it is a difficult scheme to prepare for. Campbell is the only coach in the area who has a defense ready for it yearly. I think this game has the feeling of a major upset if you keep them off the field.

Boerne Vs Calhoun Friday at 6:00pm in Jourdanton. Same place at the scene of the crime from 2 years ago ….. Calhoun’s key component didn’t step on that field that night

i think if calhoun had made their adjustments earlier in the season and didnt have key injuries they r the first place team in their district. once again boerne ia a team they probably hasnt seen this type of offense.. so got to hit the early and milk the clock.

They were swapping players all season soon as the two seniors went out during the scrimmages. It wasn't until they put the Soph QB in full time that things started going.

I 100% believe that Calhoun has a shot at winning this game. It's a tough offense to defend and it can eat up the clock and keep that explosive Boerne offense on the sideline. Limit the mistakes and it can happen.

I went to the GP/Boerne game earlier in the season. GP’s pass defense was the reason that game got so lopsided. The corners refused to check or play up on the Boerne wideouts choosing about a 12-yard cushion that was easy completions for first downs all night. 10-yard curls and slants were easy money. If Calhoun can slow that down, I give them a good chance. If they don’t, it will be hoops time for the crabs.

You guys aren't fooling anyone saying Calhoun could win. When in reality, You don't believe it.

Boerne is an obvious heavy favorite. PLC will have their hands full no doubt. Coach W might have another surprise up his sleeve who knows. I’ll root for them Crabs and hope they can keep this crazy season going.

PLC is in a roll right now. Those young men are having fun, believing in the system and each other. Can Boerne bring them back down to reality? Idk man, but I'm gonna ride this high with The Crabs. All I want for Christmas is a Calhoun/Calallen Regional Final!! Gonna take PLC in another close one!!

Gotta hand it to the Sandcrabs. Those players and coaching staff haven’t gotten it done when nobody gave them a shot!
I love a good underdog story, and I hope to see PLC move to the next round.

PLC has had a Crazy season with the injuries. GP played PLC before some of those players returned to the team. PLC just has the luck of the Irish because on a dry field without the blustery winds, Alice should of won the game at GP stadium in that 1st round game. PLC get the comeback of the year trophy. GP also played Boerne, and Boerne is just a well balanced damned good team. That to are well coached have huge good linemen and very good linebackers. They do have a very strong offense, not a flashy quick strike offense, but more of a grind it out potent office. The PLC secondary must play a outstanding game just to keep it close. I just think Boerne just on a different level this year.
