if it was posted on THSCA I didnt see it...and I check nearly every day....just did a job posting search for Alice and nothing came up maybe it was there and taken down...but I'm not sure why they'd take it down

Posters are blaming the Board and the one person in the school that is the only person that hires and the only person who fires and that is the School Superintendent . The school board hires/fires the Super..... They can put the thumb on him or her to pick their guy. Or they might end up unemployed. Only takes a 4-3 vote. The School Board hires and fires the Super but the Super hires and fires the teachers and coaches. |

But if you have a Super who realizes his or her job is dependent on hiring the “right” people and who the majority of the board prefers or suggests, the Super will follow their suggestions. This happens more with Boards that are heavily politically influenced. |

In other news Benavides is changing to 6-man football. This could be a good trend for some of the ISDs out in the sticks in South Texas. Maybe some schools that have dropped football or never had it will give it a try. |
