Facts. And Robstown brings back 20 starters in 2023 so they're going to be even better this season. He's done a great job there. They gave up 83 to Sinton, 81 to West Oso, 65 to Ingleside and 54 to Orange Grove in district play. They also averaged 32 points a game. 2nd best offensive numbers in Robstown's history. You can only do so much in Robstown.

i talked to a gentleman last night at the baseball scrimmage. who does alot for the kids in alice and has done for years. i asked him about the hiring of a new coach. he said the number 1 problem was the school district. he personally asked one of them when they were running for office what he was gonna do for change . and the person told him my number one goal is to get rid of the baseball coach because he put his son on jv. that was a few years back. he said we need a new school board that has the kids best interest across the board and not just sports.. and picking the righ coach and starts winning will bring the fans back and help rally around the kids and make the school district better. he said alot of this board have personal vendettas. so sad to hear. oh and he has no idea on whos gonna be hired or what the school board is gonna do. Like I said before, the school board thinks they are slick with all their corruption and stupidity but word gets around. Just look at how everyone looks at AISD right now. It's not just us in here complaining that hears stuff through the grapevine, outsiders hear it as well. AISD's image isn't good and it all starts with that board and decisions they make.

That's not a big deal to a Steele fan but those are great numbers for Robstown.

What's the normal timeline for these situations? Assuming the rumor of the 20th being the first interviews is accurate then how many days before that should the finalists be notified? Where you at packattack95.

Where you at packattack95. Every situation is different. Ingleside hired someone in a few weeks, while NB Canyon still hasn't named a coach since Bush left in December.

But like I said if the interviews are indeed on the 20th like the rumor says then how many days before that should those selected be given notice to prepare. What's normal procedure in that case.

Not so much defensively though last year. 2nd worse points allowed in 22 years is not good. Hopefully they will turn that around this season with all those returning starters.

From what I was told half the board wants someone in place before spring break. And the other half is ok with waiting till the end of March. I’m wondering how much input this superintendent will have since he is leaving.

What's the point of waiting till the end of March? I don't get it. They think someone is waiting till March 30 to apply?. It makes no sense to keep the players waiting.

Waiting til the end of March means they dont have to pay someone Sounds exactly like something AISD would do. F the kids. You people that still live in Alice go vote. It's not just about football it's everything. Nobody respects that school district anymore. It's embarrassing.
