Ahh at some point you just got to get over what happened 35 years ago. Landry was added to the Cowboy's ring of Honor in 1993 and has a statue at the Stadium, Jerry has also stated he handled the dismissal poorly.

What if I chose not to and simply do not like his arrogant arse? Sorry, but I cannot stomach the man and the way he acts. what kind of owner tweets out what he did during the game about the kicking situation? There is only one NFL team I pull for and that one is owned by the fans of that city/state

Unless they were originally share owners in the 40s.

Amen to this (bolded above). Dude is a moron And I agree with your dad but not just Landry, Tex Schram as well! Landry and Schram were offered the opportunity to resign graceful but decided to call Jerry's bluff. He wasn't bluffing. It's on their own head. Landry was a very good coach a d a better man but the game had long since passed him by. It was passed time for him to retire. Other teams dream of having an owner willing to pay what JJ pays. Meh... There might have been other ways of doing it. The way it's been described is Jerry showed up at their headquarters in Irving and torched the place like he would taking over a rival oil company. People saw it as Jerry firing two legends with deep ties to not only the DFW area at the time, but the whole state of Texas by some arrogant Razorback from Arkansas and his former team mate and bud and now coach from The U via Port Arthur who barely acknowledges it as his home and in repeated interviews to this day calls it as a small town in South Texas (LOL). It was time for a change as it was obvious the league and style of play at that time was moving from offenses that were much more diversified to now where the pass game is king and less emphasis is put on defense more so because offense sells tickets and ratings on TV.

That also an era where coaches had long leashes and stuck around for a decade at one team before they were fired. Now days you got 2-3 year to prove yourself or your out.

And Free Agency as we know it today was starting to get it's legs too.

Ugh, Overall the better team won. But Dallas didn't do themselves any favors in that game. Pollard going down really changed up their playcalling. Zeke, his days of a go-to back are done.
Not having a mentally stable kicker really did them in I think. The cowboys went for it on like the 40-yard line at the close of the half which eventually lead to a Dak INT in the RedZone and the 49ers took the lead 9-6 as the half ended. I think that was a bigger outcome that most people will overlook.

One goes hard each and every run while the other picks certain times to go hard! But the truth is that if they play this game 10 times SF wins 8 or 9 of those games. SF is the better team with the better defense and run game and that makes the difference!

After 28 years of missing Super Bowls and finding the oddest ways to lose in the playoffs, no one should be surprised with the outcome last night. Not one diehard Cowboy kool aid drinker, the casual/T-shirt fan, or one (like me) who calls a duck, a duck.

I'm just glad the bills got kicked out. Their fan base is becoming so annoying in these parts. A bunch of frat boys who never grew up and fell self entitled and they never won a damn thing.
If buffalo is so damn great of a place why are y'all living in the Carolinas.

He said they were all Bills fans and pretty insufferable.
