App State Win over A&M gets them a Visit from College Game Day. The ESPN College Football Pregame Show will air from the App State Campus next week. Awesome They earned it IMO. A&M should have just lined up and played smash mouth football but won't. I don't understand how you cannot see you have a team outmanned and just come right at them......especially when your QB cannot make his reads and get the football to his WRS accurately even when he has open receivers. But, I'm not making millions coaching I guess. Bottom line is A&M **** the bed. There's plenty of blame to go around. And their chances for making the playoff is OVER. 0%

It's T.U. and the Longhorn Network's fault... You do realize the longhorn network is responsible for the erosion of the Big 12. It's most marketable and note worthy teams left because of UT's arrogance and failure to maximize profits for the conference as a whole. Now you are leaving the conference for the same reasons and act like it was not yalls fault. Did the network itself hold any team back from succeeding probably not, but it did not help the conference grow to become what the SEC or Big 10 is now. The network did not even really help UT to become any better across the sports platforms or even grow their brand across the nation as you needed a sherpa and Marco Polo to find the channel on your cable or satellite provider. A&M has become more marketable, recognisable and profitiable since they joined the SEC. Games are on major networks on every provider at key times across the nation for Football, Basketball, and Baseball. The Big 12 had lots of games on PPV or not even on a network at times for their best matchups.

In thier last 10 season in the Big 12 their average finish was a 4.4 in the Big 12 South, now they are all the way up to an average finish of a 4.0 in the SEC West. They've even got that in conference winning percentage hovering just above .500 these days. This isn't a middle of the pack Big 12 South football program anymore, now, its a middle of the pack SEC West football program. Honestly, it just means more.

Yup Very true But also just as true as it is with the Longhorns in a much much weaker conference. Check their conference records the last 10 years if you don't believe me! They looked good Saturday but let's just see how they do the remainder of the season.

I’ve grown to learn that “I’ll believe it when I see it” when it comes to Texas. I’m always expecting impending doom.

They are going to be a at least three weeks with Card at QB with games against UTSA, West Virginia and Tech on the slate for those three weeks. I will say after watching last week Baylor might not be the shoe in some had for the Big 12 title. Ousux is extremely beatable by Texas among others this fall. Okie State looked OK against Arizona State, but not world beaters by any stretch . Texas has to play them in that awful stadium however where the sidelines are almost on row one of the grandstands. Texas also has to play K-State on the road which even during the Mack Brown/Vince Young/Colt McCoy eras, K State gave the Horns heck in Manhattan. If the defense can continue to come along, that could very well be the ticket to get Texas to the top.

On another point though, obviously it’s much harder to win the SEC instead of the Big 12, but that’s really because of two teams. Since going to the SEC A&M averages the 19th toughest schedule and Texas averages the 17th. If you put A&M back in the Big 12, they’d still be a middle of the road team. I wouldn’t exactly say their schedule got any harder, they just get to play Alabama every year, and dem boys are good.

They could win the Big 12 or miss a bowl and I wouldn’t be shocked either way.
