Refugio got London this week. Should be interesting. Indeed I know London blew out John Paul but I'm not familiar with JP. Are they any good at all? I'm just having trouble seeing Refugio losing to London even though I know they are an improving program.

JP maybe had one or two good seasons when they first started football ten plus years or so back and since then they've been a non factor. I also heard a few of their players transferred to Carroll. They made more of a splash on the diamond because they hired a former Moody HC who recruited a bunch of area players to start the program. He didn't last long there either and they've fallen off the baseball map. I give London a legit shot at the win considering the results Refugio had against Hitchcock who was 5-6 last season in a so so district. And had losing records for a few seasons before last year.

Pico not 100% sure but didn’t London win 3A state championship last season in baseball?

Want to also say it was heavy Senior class too that also came close to winning it last year.

Can you reference a time against Robstown and Rockport where with less than a minute to go, Calallen came out in a full spread and threw bombs? Nope.

Deja Vu Pico. Cal was sticking it to Coach Bob Loomis and not Coach Ray Akins. GP fans had left the building and Calallen was still pouring it on. “The Pot Calling The Kettle Black Comes to Mind”.

That didn't answer my question. Was Cal lining up in spread formation and throwing long pass plays with the intention on scoring? If Cal was running the ball, it's utlimately is up to the GP defense to stop them. If they gave up, that's on them.

GP did not have a defense. Coach Loomis had a chuck and duck offense and moved his DB to Offense and when he passed, it was likely to land in the stands. Calallen took advantage of a weak district. Coach Loomis was fired after 3 seasons. I remember one Cal game that Cal could not stop GP on 4 downs but Coach Loomis would throw a incomplete pass on 3rd down and then punt. Coach Loomis was a nice guy. He did not have a passing QB.

How does Loomis and his lack of offensive execution and defense equal Cal running up the score Refugio style? I'm not understanding this at all. Or am I supposed to understand it?

You have tunnel vision and you can't see the light at the end of the Tunnel for the hypocrisy.

You have tunnel vision and you can't see the light at the end of the Tunnel for the hypocrisy. Very True. And it's YOUR Hypocrisy that is clouding the picture.

You have tunnel vision and you can't see the light at the end of the Tunnel for the hypocrisy. You still haven't answered my question. If it helps you, go ahead and use a Gordon Wood example. Have at it Einstein....
