I would be interested to see what Coach Patterson could do with the recruiting class UT gets every year considering what he did at TCU which has far less recruiting pull. Well, we all know he won 7 of 10 games against UT these past 10 years with nowhere near the 4 & 5 star kids at TCU so I would think he would do very, very well. Here is a stat for you on the last 4 years recruiting classes. TCU avg recruiting rank was #30 with their best class being 2020 @ #28 TCU had 4 5-stars, 52 4-stars, & 249 3-star kids signed the last 4 years UT avg recruiting rank was #8 with their best calls being 2020 @ #5 UT had 13 5-stars, 179 4-stars, & 137 3-stars It is mind boggling to think Patterson beat UT 70% of the time the last 10 years

No big name or good coach will go to Texas. It would be coaching suicide. No coach in his right mind would want to deal with the meddling of their alumni.

UTSA finally cracks the CFB Playoffs Ranking at #23. What a joke! 3 loss Purdue, Wisconsin & Auburn ahead of undefeated UTSA???

UTSA finally cracks the CFB Playoffs Ranking at #23. What a joke! 3 loss Purdue, Wisconsin & Auburn ahead of undefeated UTSA??? UTSA has the 3rd weakest schedule in college football. Their best win was over a 4-6 Illinois team in week 1. Wisconsin and Auburn would take the birds to the woodshed. Purdue, you never know what team you get with them either their world beaters or bottom feeders. powerrankingsguru.com/college-football/strength-of-schedule.phpJust enjoy the run they are on, they could go undefeated and win their first bowl game. They are clearly the best team in the UT system this year.

Good they are but they would get absolutely handled by a ton of teams out there including the 2 you listed. Respect The Pecker for sure but be real doing it.

Just glad to see them making progress and being ranked this high should help with recruiting.

Longhorns lost, Aggies lost. If it weren't for the UTSA Roadrunners and Sam Houston State University Bearcats we wouldn't have anything to be happy about in College Football.

Disappointed the Aggies lost. Defense played lights out but the offense struggled. Calzada was asked to do to much this game. Aggies should have ran the ball 50 times against Ole Miss weak run defense. That's on the coaches. Kansas tried like hell to give tu that game. Who the hell goes for it on 4 and 1 on their own 30 with the lead and five minutes left. Even the announcers were baffled at KU four quarters play calling.

Both looked very bad. And I'm not getting the same old argument. Bottom line is both lost and both suck. If things don't change all our best football players will be going out of state to play and Texas College football will continue on this downward spiral.

There's a big difference in losing a close game to a ranked opponent than losing to the worst team in the NCAA.

So who gives a rats ass to who or by how much or where they were ranked. None of that changes the fact that if our instate programs do not get better we will continue to lose very talented players to out of state schools. Who will then come back and kick our asses. I want the national championship trophy to come to the State of Texas every year. And IDGAF which of our schools bring it home. If you don't understand that well that's not on me.

They looked like a team that has quit and just mailed it in. Why is the question. Are they making some statement such as they don't want to play for the coach? Not a stretch to think they might do such a thing since the season was a total loss already so nothing to lose.

This isn't something that happened yesterday. These teams haven't been powerhouses for a long time. Players are already going elsewhere and have been 30+ years. TU is a lost cause. They will never have another successful program as long as the alumni try to coach that team. With all the money they have, ask yourself why they can't find a decent coach? All the blue chip players in the world won't fix that program. I see A&M making some progress under Fischer. Is it what I would like too see? Yes and no. I too would like to see a national championship, but I also don't want to go back to what they had. There's only one national champion and a lot of programs throughout the country want that as well.

Well they have certainly given up. They are too talented to lose the way they have these past few weeks.
