Couple of thoughts:
- Liberty Hill at #2 seems pretty high.
- I know some Ennis fans think these next two years are possible state championship caliber teams.
- FBM played 13 sophomores last season. #4 might be low for them.
- Timberview at #5 is fun
- Lovejoy at #7 seems right but idk if Huntsville or LH should be ranked higher than them.
- Grapevine over Cooper seems strange. I know they had a close game last year but I'd pick Cooper.

Liberty Hill certainly can't complain about no respect this year. Now to see if they can measure up to it.

I know they have an offense that isn’t typical so plugging in players over the years may be different than other teams. But they return one starter on offense. Defense should be good

Defense should be good I'm sure they will look good through most of the year like they did last season. But ultimately the Liberty Hill defense gave up 42 (Rouse), 53 (Pioneer), and 62 (Crosby) points the last three weeks.

That's also when most of the what about LH talking was going on.

If someone was to ask if LH had a good defense last year I think you have to answer no. Yes the numbers look good but I think the stats are misleading.

They looked like world beaters against their schedule. It was a very easy 5A D2 schedule and will be again this year. their Offense carried them last year with a very senior heavy team. Now they replace almost everything on offense and the schedule will not help give them much of a challenge until deep in the playoffs. So I'm waiting to see if they can equal last years run.

It's obviously too early to say this but this top 10 doesn't seem as stacked as years past.

Leander Rouse had 4 players kneeling for the Anthem which divides the team, Rouse had plays in their arsenal that was successful during the year that they did not use against LH. The key to beating a Wing-T team is preparing your defense for a Win-T team in the off season and before the season starts. I,m going to run the Bum Philips version of the 3/4 against the spread and 4/4 defense against the Wing-T.
Another key is meeting with all the coaches immediately after the season and discuss why they lost a game and make changes to fix it. When I play LH with my 4/4 defense and they break huddle, my 4 LB or already coming on a blitz and one is assigned the QB and one is assigned the Wing Back(slot back)
