Then each week yall win you can edit where '21 is. I have my '21 ready to make the run. District Champs-69' 00' 06' Bi-District Champs-01' 08' 14' 15' Bi-District Finalist-67' 69' 92' 93' 97' 02' 04' 06' 09' 11' 13' 17' *21' Area Finalist-08' 14' 15' Regional Semi Final Champs-01' Regional Champs-01' State Semi-Finalist-01' We’ll see about all that. Probably need to win a lot more playoff games before posting these. Most of what the Elks have are points they’ve made it to rather than deep playoff runs. Lol! I realize. Good luck tonight ELKS!

Everman had their chances last night against SOC. It was 28-21 in the 3rd and Everman either recovered and onside kick or fumble and could have made it a two possession game. They just had no passing game to help the run game. Feel much better about playing them now after watching that game. No doubt SOC has a fast QB and RB but they can be slowed down.

I have to admit that I was a little shocked when I saw the score was tied. SOC pulled away a little in the end. I think your right about the lack of passing to compliment Everman's run game. That being said I also think that Everman falls victim to lack of depth. While they always have some talented kids with athleticism they're kinda like Cleburne right now with the lack of depth. As for the Elks I'm just glad the program has made strides and got to the playoffs this season. Regardless of how long the ride lasts at this point everything is just extra cake. When the season ends I will feel fulfilled and satisfied. Will enjoy continuing following the Aledo express. I have a nieces birthday party to attend in Walsh Ranch- Aledo, Texas tomorrow. The kiddos are Bearcats so I may don a little red and black to mix with the black and orange tomorrow.

Big games this coming week for our district. Timberview vs Ennis is the headline event. A very good team will be going home. Aledo is the favorite against Liberty and Burleson is the underdog against Lovejoy. At best I think we go 2-1. And for what its worth I think we are more likely to go 0-3 than 3-0.

Aledo vs Frisco Liberty Timberview vs Ennis Burleson vs Lovejoy The Elks would be the underdog against anybody from here on out. Anybody would be a tough matchup for Burleson in the second round. It happens to be LJ. Seeding second would have gotten the Elks Ennis in the second round. Lucky us. It’s going to be tough for the Elks to have the Cinderella slipper fit again next week but it is fun to be part of the conversation at least. This experience will be good for the kids who are coming back and the up and comers. Haven’t been to the playoffs sense 2017, last won a playoff game in 2015. Won the Boot game against you cross town rival who now also in the second round against Amarillo Tascoso, retained the spike game against your long time rival Cleburne, and also got a trophy bi-district trophy to in the case. I’ll take it man.... everything else is just extra cake icing right now!

Short passes, death by a thousand cuts.

They will take pages out of The way Aledo and TV defended us no doubt.

Looking forward to a great game. The Elks will have the best passing QB LJ has faced all year.

LJ is #3 for good reason. They are every bit as advertised on both sides of the ball. The Elks will get to see another version of Aledo/T-View on Friday.

Hey, which team would you say from our district is the closest to Poteet? Seguin, Cleburne, Everman? I would probably have to say Everman. Oddly enough even with Everman finishing forth the way they performed in beating T-View and hanging real tough with SOC, I think they would have had great a good shot at also beating Poteet had they drew them. But you could make a case for Poteet as well. That would have also been a good first round matchup. As far as you guys preparing us I would have hoped that it would have paid dividends against T-View but they basically mirrored yall's performance against us. Credit to them. People can say that we weren't playing with a full deck of cards because we were already in and stuff like that but the truth is T-View is real damn good and they just beat us. We had plenty to be motivated for in the at game but weren't able to take it to them. LJ's defense will be similar in nature to what both you and T-View gave us. They should be unbeaten right now. It will be tough. Outside of not facing Ennis or Liberty and we've already played you guys and T-View and now draw LJ, it feels like we've already played all the way to the Regional Semi or the Regional Final without actually winning those games.

Defensively, not sure about the line but LJ probably has the better LBs and we probably have the better DBs. I dont think those quick short screens are going to be effective against them.

Would agree about the screens. I really can’t believe we broke so many of them against Poteet. Just porous tackling. There won’t be that against LJ. They will bring lot’s of pressure.

Should be an interesting week for this district. Think all 3 could be solid games.
