Saw on news CCISD season tickets go on sale online tonight. They are allowing 100% attendance. Haven't got a renewal letter or heard about Flour Bluff season tickets yet. Have you? No nothing yet. With all my health issues I might not get mine this year

With all my health issues I might not get mine this year ☹ sorry to hear that. On the upside the UIL are going to allow live online streaming of regular season games ACCORDING to RIOSPORTS LIVE who have said they will be covering games. We'll have to keep checking for details but that could let us see games we can't get to again.

FB does have some reloading to do at WR. Fan did anyone stand out at the Spring Game? At WR Gieswhite then Tovar and Ybanez are the likely with Gieswhite leading. Meschi will be kicking as he did a lot last year and he's looking very good. Jo Jo Martinez number 2 RB last year will be the primary RB. The other newbies are to be seen. Never ceases to surprise me their progress and growth from one season to the next.

Much respect to your QB for playing football even though he has a baseball future at the next level. I'm tired of all these kids quitting football because they think they're gonna end up in the MLB just because their fastball hits 90 mph.

Went by the athletic office and the plan is the season ticket holders from 2019 will get letters to renew their tickets for this year just as in years past. Should be coming out soon just waiting on admin to give them the go ahead.
The scrimmage will be in Alice.
She did warn me that those are the plans but any audibles will be posted on the FB website.

This would be the right time for the FB ISD to get with A&M-CC and build an FCS compatible stadium. It’s not if A&M CC will get football, it’s when will they get it, especially if the Southland folds. If the TAMUK/ A&M CC merger plans get pulled out of the file which I hear might be in the cards, you can bet your bottom dollar the Football program will move to Corpus. Kingsville had a shot and blew it in part due to their local State Rep leading the charge agains the merger. They could have had or been on the way for a new stadium by now, but Javelina sits there rotting away housing what once a great program.

You make a good logical case for what has been thought about and rumored for a long time now. We can only hope but honestly I will be happy with taking down the giant cement heat sink we have been sitting on and putting up aluminum seating. Expand the visitors side and make it the home side so the visitors can squint into the setting sun early in the season for a change. The old stadium was the bus barn and shop underneath but not since they built a new one so no reason to not take it down now.

As I understand it they are short on funding now

The old stadium was the bus barn and shop underneath but not since they built a new one so no reason to not take it down now. I don’t see FB coming up with money for a bigger stadium. As I understand it they are short on funding now You could float a bond for it. The only thing that kind of stinks now if you are an advocate for better athletic facilities, the legislature passed a law that requires the portion of a bond election regarding the athletic facilities has to be a separate ballot item. I know here in Calallen we have a small, but very vocal minority whom whenever we have a bond gets on the different social media and Nextdoor and complain about the money going to athletics as they make it sound it’s the majority of the bond which it never ever has . It might be 20% at the most since I’ve been here and observing. This gives them a way to have their cake and eat it too and advocate against the athletics portion. This was in response to all of these stadiums and other facilities being built in the DFW and Houston areas which put many small and medium sized colleges to shame. Me thinks when some of these burbs in these areas who don’t have the showcase facilities yet or need to renovate and their voters deny the funds, the legislature will reverse course. Might take a few years to get there.
