Congrats to Tommy Armstrong. This kid has worked extremely hard to earn this and his dedication to becoming the best QB he can be is without question.

Steele quarterback Tommy Armstrong was forewarned before he made his official visit to Nebraska last weekend.
Madison alum and Cornhuskers freshman Aaron Green told Armstrong about Nebraska's football-crazy atmosphere, that plenty of fans already know about Armstrong and how he helped lead Steele to a state championship last season.
Once Armstrong walked into Nebraska's Memorial Stadium on Saturday and saw the “Sea of Red” for himself, he was sold.
Armstrong, a 6-foot-2, 210-pounder, committed to Nebraska on Monday, shortly after returning home from his visit.
“When I was in that stadium, I felt like I already had a jersey on,” Armstrong said. “The way they love football, it's just like Texas. I can't wait to represent the ‘N' that's on their helmets.”
Armstrong, the No. 16 dual-threat QB in the nation according to Rivals.com, chose Nebraska over Southern Mississippi. He also had offers from Oregon and TCU, among others.
He cited Nebraska's atmosphere and a close relationship with Huskers offensive coordinator Tim Beck as his main reasons for choosing the school.
It's the second straight year Nebraska has gotten a commitment from one of the area's top recruits. Green signed with the Huskers in February and had a rushing and receiving TD in their victory against Washington on Saturday. During the weekend, he served as Armstrong's host.
“There's something about Nebraska,” Armstrong said. “Fans already knew who I was and what I've been doing. It really feels like the place I want to spend the next four or five years.”
Armstrong has passed for 372 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions this season. He also has rushed for 337 yards and two TDs to help Steele, the fifth-ranked Class 5A team in the state, extend its winning streak to 17 games.
Last season, he threw for 1,343 yards with 19 TDs and two interceptions as the Knights won the Class 5A Division II state championship.
Armstrong is the third area quarterback to commit to a major conference program this year. Clark's Josh Kern committed to Arizona, and Reagan's Trevor Knight picked Oklahoma.
