Calhoun @ Miller will be Saturday at 2pm. Miller will definately have Home Field advantage. Miller’s Adkism was hurt in the Friday portion of the game and did not play in the Saturday portion. He might be out next week. Calhoun will prepare as if he will play at 100%. Not going to fall for the "he might not".

Some fun with numbers. Was curious where scoring and defense stood within the district up to this point. This is through all games this season.
Offense (points per game) Miller 36.5 Calallen 34.0 Calhoun 32.1 Alice 28.5 Beeville 26.0 Tuloso-Midway 16.7
Defense Calallen 15.7 Calhoun 20.6 Alice 22.8 Beeville 28.1 Tuloso-Midway 33.8 Miller 38.1

Umm yup I’d say. Hopefully your kids aren’t too physical, might upset the opposing team, and the refs……… I know Calhoun will be physical. And they are just as big on the line as Miller. Calhoun seems to me to have good speed but they also have more Sophomore on Varsity than I can ever remember, plus 1 Freshman. Just hope the Officiating is not as one sided as I saw today at Buccaneer Stadium. Could be another shootout??? I don't think nearly as high as last year but both in the high 40s maybe? Nah, PLC will get stops on Miller this go round. They are not nearly as good through the air this year as last year. PLC wins by 10 or so

At least on Millers part, they don't have the team they had last year at this time.

Calallen will get 1st. Winner of Miller/Calhoun will get 2nd. Loser of Miller/Calhoun will get 3rd. Winner of Beeville/T-M will get 4th. Only chance Alice has at this point is to hope T-M beats Beeville and Alice beats T-M to force a 3 way tie for that 4th playoff spot. At that point I'm not sure how a district tie-breaker works.

There's no way an ultra modern offense is only averaging 2.5 more points than an antiquated scheme with no passing game.

Clearly don't want to see the point of not having a passing game. Look at it this way, imagine if Miller didn't ever pass the ball. Their score avg wouldn't be even that high. Try harder.

Evans would have had a stroke if we had worked on just throwing the ball Saturday on our last possession.

The Coaches agree on a tie breaker system before the season starts. calcatgirl might be able to shed some light on the system if there is a 3 way tie.

It would if Miller had Calallen's running game. It would be identical.
