With their Impressive Bowl victory over #11 UTAH last night, is there any reason to get excited about the direction of the Texas Longhorns 2020 Football Team?

Maybe but its a repeat of the way they ended last year when as underdogs they beat Georgia then were ranked 10 to start this season. They will have to show me.

I can say if they stay healthy next year their only loss should be to maybe LSU or Baylor and they could win either one of those games but it depends on health 100%

The Big 12 went 1-5 this bowl season, with the Longhorns with the lone win against a quality Utah. Without Ehlinger in 2020 the Longhorns will have to find a new leader. Just like LSU will have to replace Burrow. Baylor will have a new HC. OU without Jalen Hurts. Longhorns should be in the running to win the Big 12.

I have to give Herman credit because he's hired a couple of solid coordinators to replace" Third and Orlando" and Tim Beck. " Third and Orlando" is Longhorn Message Board nick name for Todd Orlando and his defense that gave up sometimes huge third down yards. You will notice right off the bat in the Alamo bowl the interim DC had the defense positioned correctly instead of the chaos Orlando had them set up to try to defend things. Herman has to get it correct next year or he can kiss good bye at ever coaching a major program again and he might have come to realization he has it made at Texas for the a long ride if he just gets the right people in place instead of micromanaging like he's done past two seasons. He's made it known he wants to be more of the CEO type and let the coaches under him do their thing.

I doubt Ehlinger goes pro, BUT if he did you just move Roschon Johnson over to what he was recruited for and have fun watching the Longhorn backfield next year. You will have a fully healthy Jordan Whittington and Keontay Ingram in the backfield.... lookout.

Longhorns have a problem similar to Missouri problem that destroyeD their school and team. We shall see how much backbone Coach Tom Herman has. He just bought another year or two by changing some underperforming coaches.
