Did I hear correctly? Rouse finished 4th in their district and pitched a 14 year-old freshman tonight? GP had a REALLY solid team this year. I had them advancing for sure. Tough break but great season, GP. You will be a better program from this.

Yep finished 4th and from what I understand the kid that pitched for Rouse hadn’t started all season, on varsity at least, may be false information from my source on the CP side but wow I am shocked still. What a great season by GP!

Great season GP. Kids in this age group for GP and the ones that ended up in Sinton has to be one best group in a while. Sinton with 5 on varsity that use to be from GP.

Somebody aired their dirty laundry at GP and they lost their coach to Pleasanton and 5 players to Sinton. One of those players is a pitcher at Sinton and Omitted to LSU. If CCVets gets out of their hole, we will see how they do against Rouse. CCVets was runner up to GP in district;

The bats were alive, but it just didn't happen. I think we'll come back with a win in the early game on Saturday with some great pitching. Then the final game will be a battle of wills.

Damn I was hoping for a GP/Vets series to send at least one Coastal Bend 5A team to the final four in addition to hopefully one from 4A and 3A. Was pulling for GP to get the ticket....
Build on it for next year.

Tough break but great season, GP. You will be a better program from this. We've seen this against our Cats in the playoffs... Some of the games didn't result in loses, but it sure tied up our bats. The coaches scout the others better pitchers expecting one of them to throw and batting practice is adjusted to accommodate the styles and then out of no where a pitcher or a combination of pitchers with nothing overwhelming as far a fast ball is put on the bound and we can't buy a base hit. I'm think about Alamo Heights a few years ago when that Forrest Whitney kid was their main arm and their record reflected it because most of their wins came from his mound duty and many of their loses were kind of ugly. They got the game one win in a tight game up at Smithson Valley and then turned around the next day when we played them at Cabiniss and threw three different pitchers and swept.

A crooked armed meat baller can be just as tough as a guy throwing in the mid to high 90s.
