Alice beat Rockport-Fulton today to move to 10-5-1 on the season. I think the next game is Friday versus Moody.

Tuloso Midway lost to Carroll last night 11/3. No excuses! Is all the games in the district count even though it's in the different zone? No only the games in your zone. That's why our coach let the game go on even after our pitcher was struggling. He said they have to learn to get out of those situations in order to get better. We have a young team.

Moody and Calallen lose their district openers? This is different. I really think Cal might not make the playoffs this year. The zone playoff thing has danger written all over it this year.

We will see about Flour Bluff soon enough. They beat Beeville today 11-2 and open district vs Moody at Whataburger Tuesday night at 8.

Vets under Yeager is getting their system going. You knew that was coming. He is a good and proven coach and Vets teams should be called the CCISD All Stars the way they let everyone chose to go there.

The South zone appears to be stronger this year. Vets under Yeager is getting their system going. You knew that was coming. He is a good and proven coach and Vets teams should be called the CCISD All Stars the way they let everyone chose to go there. It hurt Carroll the most in every sport on both the boys and girls side except baseball. Maybe some of the kids at Carroll decided to stay put because of any sport, baseball is the hardest to get playing time. But with everything else, there was a big time dropoff. It will be interesting to see how the Vets program on both the boys and girls side does year after next with their own attendence zone kids. Likewise if Carroll can bounce back once they build their new school which at that time, the CCISD will be forced to redraw boundries to keep Vets and Ray from moving up to 6A. None the less Yeager is an excellent coach. He gives his full attention to evey kid on his roster and doesn't neccesarly rely on the selects or the local leagues to dictate who is going to be the future prospects in his program. Sadly that can't be said about every program around here at the present time.
