Congratulations to our 5A UIL State Marching Band Champion, Cedar Park These were the top 10 bands that made finals in placing order. 1st - Cedar Park 2nd - Dripping Springs 3rd - Waxahachie 4th - Wakeland 5th - Poteet 6th - Richland 7th - Prosper 8th - Aledo 9th - Rouse 10th - Highland Park
Most of these schools have great football teams as well, what a coincidence. Congrats cedar park. I think it's there 3rd time winning this.

Congratulations to the CP Band. But since when is Band a Sport? Maybe... maybe not, but let's just say I never saw anyone on the Football team lugging a Tuba or Base Drum around on an asphalt surface practicing in 95+ degree heat in August!

It is a great activity and yes physical. but some say 13 straight State Championships in powerlifting is meaningless While Band competitions are a major accomplishment. JS Again Congrats to Cedar Park.

And I'll never devalue that accomplishment by any school.

JS Again Congrats to Cedar Park. I don’t discount it either. I know that CP doesn’t participate in Powerlifting and it’s not just because it’s not part of the UIL... CP participants in Lacrosse and its not part of the UIL either! I’ll bet HP has a girl’s field hockey team and I know Vandergrift as well as some HS’s in the Houston area have a Rugby team. Just curious, are their other sports related activities that aren’t included?
