You know as well as I do that those preseason polls are horsecrap based on respect and reputation more than anything else. I doubt that poll took into consideration that King and Carroll lost a ton of enrollment to VM. And saying VM will be good because of Yaeger is horsecrap also. Carroll had good baseball before him not just because of him. How'd it work out for Yaeger when he left Carroll? To Yaegar's credit whether he had anything to do with it or not, Grapevine did win the State Title last year. True he wasn't the coach, but he could of put down the infrastructure needed to win it last year kind of like Jimmy Johnson did when that nutcase Barry Switzer won the last Super Bowl for the Cowboys. Possibly. Maybe what he told them on the way out sunk in. Who knows what motovates teams sometimes. I guarantee he was teaching baseball whether it sunk in or not while he was there.

Nice Yeager excuse. "entitled spoiled brats" just about describes all of today's youth not just Grapevine. Baseball is more predictable than football? Are you serious? I don't think so. Baseball is a sport where on any given night a horrible team can beat a great team. That doesn't happen in football. Miller isn't gonna beat Calallen in football but conceivably on any given night could maybe pull it off in baseball. Try again. silly. You just want to argue. Already told you how baseball talent is known preseason. No a horrible team won't beat a great team. Name some times that has happened lately in this district. Upsets sometimes rarely but horrible teams beating great teams, no. District teams usually play each other home and away anyway. Back to the point. More south zone teams will go through to the real playoffs than north zone. That is just a fact. I'm not trying to argue. It's the truth. No way in hell would a team like Miller beat Calallen in football. It wouldn't be inconceivable that it happen in baseball though. I think you get the point. And to your South/North argument, umm we were all saying the same thing about the South/North in football but the other way around and it didn't work out that way. So no, it's not "just a fact".

From what I understand he left because the baseball enviroment was much better here than up there, maybe not so much the kids and if they were or not "entitled". One thing I do know is a few teams down here the last few years would have made deeper playoff runs had they been under his leadership. One thing I've always heard about him regardless of how great the group of kids he had one particular year and whether they were heavily favored make a deep playoff run, he always took the approach all positions were open and they had to be earned. I think he also worked with kids from other high schools during the summer months which says alot if you ask me when some coaches just assume the select leagues just take over.

Do you despise me so much that you would actually sit there and not admit it's more likely that a team like Miller beat a team like Calallen in baseball rather than football? Saying baseball is more predictable than football has got to be the most asinine statement of the short year so far.

Man up you don't want to bet because you know I am right. Never say never but it is much more likely that the south zone teams will out number the north in the playoffs and you know it. That is why you won't bet.

I said baseball is not more predictable than football, not the other way around. I haven't made a single prediction of who will make the playoffs.
