Same here just sticking with the Home Region. Should be a good game. Yoakum had a tough start to the year but have been playing good ball ever since. I expect Mineola to be Favored.

I always love Yoakum as being the underdog in this game, lots of teams have overlooked the bulldogs and those teams are now spectators. Yoakum started off the season playing as individuals but during their bye week the team came together and has not lost a game since. Yoakum has tons of talent, the Moore twins both have at last count 30 D-1 offers, Silas Robinson, HC"s son 6-5 305# and very mobile 12 D-1 offers, Ethan Owens not sure how many offers he has but plenty coming. This Bulldog team is absolutely peaking at the perfect time, the state championship.

Man my Halletsville friends were down about that. But, a couple of pretty key injuries I think did them in.

Injuries always plays a part in football and the outcome of games. Yoakums had their share of them being there starting QB didnt even play against the brahmas and they beat them with a 2nd string QB. Good teams when forced just make adjustments which Yoakum has made. Surprisingly this squad is young and all but 4-5 will return next season. It going to be interesting to see what adjustments the Bulldogs make for this matchup.

Congrats to Mineola! Celebrating Christmas just down the road. No doubt the Jackets got their biggest present early.

Refugio and Yoakum scrimaged each other the last two years, had to drop it this year. The coaches had to call them early the teams wound up in knock down dragouts. No love loss between them.
