Navarro is in a no win situation IMO. They should beat a team 2 classifications below them soundly. If they don't or they lose outright it won't look good. Refugio is in the exact opposite position. I agree..........but don't see Refugio keeping this very close. Navarro is legit and playing well right now. But, they were last year to and we all saw what happened to them in the playoffs.

Who cares about how it makes you look Navarro wont see WRs like Refugios and we wont see a team like Navarro until Shiner? if then. Playing good competition, just hope no one gets hurt.

This seems to be about how most folks at Refugio think I guess. Guess Herring's mentality has taken hold.
So, I guess if you don't care, Herring don't care, and other folks in Refugio don't care what the reputation is............have at it.

Implying the win loss column who cares. Sorry..... I agree about that. I've stated many times a non district loss.....hell even a district loss can be good for a team in the long run. It can help focus the team and show what must be mended in order to make a deep run

Navarro is very quick and fast, Refugio might have the speed to stop the quick pitch sweeps but not sure about the ground game between tackles and Navarro can also pass very well.

Dont know how well Navarro travels, could be a full house. Good amount of area fans of football want to see Refugio get thumped and thumped bad. Curious to see if Refugio can step up to the challenge.

Good read on the Texas 2a site failed to mention the size and speed of Refugio Wrs,, hope the Qb has time to pass. Theres no doubt that Refugio has an excellent team and they will fare well in the first half. I dont know how many if any Bobcats play both offense and defense but theres no way they have the depth of Navarro. This will be a good game to watch with to really good teams going at each other. A fan mentioned that this Navarro team just might be the best team Refugio faces till Shiner. Theres night and difference between Navarro and Shiner. Shiner lost to 3A Halletsville who has a decent team but no powerhouse by any means. Navarro would take Halletsville to the woodshed and put a smackdown on them. Its going to be Interesting to see how Herring and Refugio handle a team such as Navarro and it will be a good guage on how good a team Refugio has this year.

I agree Bluecat. This Nav team would thump Halletsville BADLY.
And as far as Shiner vs Refugio......I don't think that'll be close. I think Refugio will completely man handle the Shiner boys this year and I'd be very surprised if Shiner keeps it within 21
If Refugio can stay within 21 of this Navarro team that would be very, very good IMO. Navarro can stop the run and do it well. Will be interesting what they can do against the Bobcats air attack.

Parking is the challenge. still 50/50 if i'm going to Sinton/Robstown about 10 min drive or to Refugio/Navarro game about 40 min drive. How many on Refugio roster, Navarro I heard has 37 which is a bit low for 4a.
